GW shows off some of the awesome new models on the way!
It’s finally here! The new edition has landed at last. Across the world, hobbyists are waking up to a bold new era for Warhammer 40,000 – the start of a truly incredible epoch for all fans of the 41st Millennium. To celebrate, we’re holding a reveal-filled party on Twitch and rounding up the hottest headlines right here – keep checking back regularly for more goodies!

2:00 pm – The New Generation of Codexes
There’s nothing quite like a codex. Do you remember your first? Cracking open the pages to discover lore secrets about your favourite faction? Building lists with pen and paper? Gawping at stunning art? Combining rules, lore and more, codexes are something very special indeed – and the next generation of codexes are the most special yet.
Codex: Necrons and Codex: Space Marines combine the codex content you love with all sorts of new stuff for the latest edition of Warhammer 40,000. Sumptuous art and thrilling lore bring each faction to life, while the layout of each book has been redesigned in order to be accessible and easily referenced.
The new Codex: Space Marines will replace the current Space Marine codex, as well as the other First Founding and Deathwatch codexes – making it an invaluable tome that covers all those elements common across the forces of the Space Marines. A literal Codex Astartes*.
Players using Chapters covered in the last Space Marine codex can carry on using their expansions with the new book – White Scars, Imperial Fists, Iron Hands, Ultramarines, Salamanders, Raven Guard and Black Templars using their codex expansion in the Psychic Awakening series.
For fans of the Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Blood Angels and Deathwatch?
If you have one of these armies, good news – not only do you get a shiny new core codex with loads of new toys to play with, but you also have a new codex supplement on the way. You’ll be able to tailor your Space Marines force to fully embody the theme and spirit of their Chapter, and of course, include all their unique units and heroes.
Codex: Necrons, meanwhile, brings the Necrons to life in terrifying splendour and tactical depth never before seen for the Faction. Rules have been fundamentally reworked to diversify the army and offer a vast range of potential strategies. Want to play a close-combat Necron force? A surging tide of Canoptek critters? A short-ranged incursion force popping out of portals to annihilate everything? The choice is yours. New units like the Shard of the Void Dragon and the Silent King himself give you new and terrifying ways to reconquer the galaxy, while rules for custom dynasties and the legendary brass-armoured Szarekhan Dynasty allow for even more choice and freedom. Take your army on Crusade and things get even crazier as your Necrons grow and change, with Overlords gaining ever-longer Dynastic Epithets (yes, really – there’s a random table) or succumbing to the horror of the Destroyer curse…

2:20 pm – Space Marine Gladiator
Few Warhammer 40,000 tanks are as iconic or popular as the Predator – a Space Marine attack vehicle that’s provided fire support on tabletops across the galaxy since the days of Rogue Trader. Now, the Primaris Space Marines have a battle tank with the versatility, reliability and firepower of this venerable stalwart of the Chapter armoury – and some brand-new upgrades. Meet the Gladiator.
Based on the chassis of the Impulsor, the Gladiator is a fast, flexible battle tank that provides deadly fire support in any chosen flavour you wish. You just saw the Gladiator Valiant – a short-ranged armour hunter that uses twin las-talons and multi-meltas to scrap armour and heavy infantry alike.
This is just one of a trio of Gladiators – take the Gladiator Reaper. This tank is the ultimate infantry-killer, using tempest bolters and a twin heavy onslaught gatling cannon to blend your foe’s battle lines.
Alternatively, you could build a Gladiator Lancer – an anti-tank sniper that’s ideal for chewing through your opponents’ most durable war machines and monsters.
Add tactical flexibility to your Battle Company, or field them alongside your Repulsors, Repulsor Executioners, and Impulsors for a fully armoured force of Primaris vehicles – the choice is yours.

2:40 pm – A Monolithic Arrival
Has there ever been a box more beautiful than the Monolith? A delight to all fans of cyclopean megastructures, Necrons and ominous, abstract hexahedrons, the Monolith seemed perfect – irreplaceable, even. Until now…
The Monolith is back – and it’s bigger and more beautiful than ever.
This rendition of the Monolith is a nightmarish floating sentinel that truly embodies the alien horror of the Necrons. Look closely, and you’ll see the depth and detail this kit possesses, featuring weathered stone and unfathomable technology, a vast wealth of internal sculpting that brings the monolith to life, and the iconic image of a Necron warrior emerging from the Portal of Exile.
It’s bigger, it’s more detailed, and it’s even more dangerous on the tabletop – part transport, part fortress, and capable of going toe to ominous geometry with Knights and other super-heavies.
We can think of no better way to deliver a full complement of Skorpekh Destroyers or a phalanx of Necron Warriors to battle!
The new edition is good news for everyone. Whatever army you play, you’ve got something to look forward to – there’s models, rules, lore and more on the way that we can’t wait to share with you. So we won’t!
