Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to once more talk your ear off about the excitement that is the new edition of 40K and the Las Vegas Open!
Well now, it has been a pretty exciting week since we last saw each other. First come the announcement that the Las Vegas Open tickets are are sale. Be sure to get your tickets now for some of the events and seminars as many of them have already sold out. Then, a little while later, we get the release of the core rules from Games Workshop. Who knows what new and exciting information we will see next. This week I get to talk about, and introduce to you, one of the new judges for the 40K Championships.
So why a new judge? As far as I know, all the judges from the last Las Vegas Open are returning. With the change in playing size, the new edition does allow for more players to play in the 40K Champs. If you add in the friendly event and the Sunday Rogue Trader Tournaments, there is a lot going on over the long weekend. Since we are having more players in just about all events in the venue, it just seems natural to add a new judge to the mix. This decision isn’t done lightly as there comes a heavy responsibility and spotlight due to it being the largest single player event in the world. Luckily our new judge is well versed with handling different situations.
So where do we begin? Their name is Pila Octo This new judge has been helping answer questions for a very long time. This is not limited to just Warhammer 40K. There has been a number of different events and occasion where they have lent their decision making services. As with all judges, they won’t have the correct answer. They may have some issues as we all struggle trying to understand the new edition. So be patient with them and don’t be too harsh on them if they are unable to give a clear answer.
So be sure to stop by the judge’s table at the Las Vegas Open and say hi to the other judges as well as the new judge. I am pretty sure we will all appreciate you coming by to say hi and not bombard us with questions. Even if you do have a question, do not be afraid to stop by the judge’s desk or to flag one of us down. I’m sure that there will be plenty of questions for all the judges, old and new to answer. I’m sure that Pila will be ready to answer your questions to the best of their ability.
That’s all for this week. I hope you enjoyed the article. Let me know what you think and what you look forward to at the Las Vegas Open, in the comments section below.
