The league pits of professional players against each other in 5 vs 5 matches of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (Activision)

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Nevada Gaming Control Board announced this week that authorized sports books will be allowed to offer wagers on the 2020 Call of Duty League.

This announcement comes as real-life sporting events have been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, forcing sports books to find other sources of revenue.

The League, a global video game eSport, pits teams of professional players against each other in 5 vs 5 matches of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Sports books will be allowed to offer wagers on Head to Head match-ups, the Winner of Each Match, Overall Winner, and the overall winner of the 2020 Call of Duty League. Sports books will be able to set their own odds, and betting must cease at the beginning of each match.
