GW Grognard: Units to Upsize – Part 2

Hey everyone! Adam, from TFG Radio, here to talk to you about 40K stuff (as much as we can right now)

In a previous article I talked about the various models from epic Space Marine that I wanted to see on the tabletop. Even with all the models we are seeing in Forgeworld and Games Workshop, there are still plenty of models that would like to see made for the first time or even brought back, since a lot of unit options have been removed or moved to another army or army type. So here are a few more models from the epic range that I would love to see on the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop.

Leviathan

I know not many people like super heavies in the current game. Unfortunately for those people I don’t see it going back anytime soon. The success of Knights and other large vehicles has just about guaranteed that supper heavies are here to stay. this particular super heavy is one used by two armies, the Imperial guard and Squats(or whatever their name is now). It is a super heavy command vehicle that can house a large number of troops inside. Something like this would probably be suitable for Apocalypse games only but, just like the Warlord Titan, I think it would be a cool model to have.

Capitol Imperialis

Just like the Leviathan, this model is a command vehicle but only for the Imperial guard. One of the other things that sets it apart is that fact that it is actually bigger than the Leviathan. It is literally a moving fortress. If one is made to scale then it should be able to hold a full company of Leman Russ battle tanks. Again, this would probably be only usable in Apocalypse games. The upside to this model would be the fact that you could store up to 10 tanks inside when not on the battlefield.

Chaos Deathwheel

This model was actually one of the newest ones that was introduced in the last editions but was never made. If you see one, it is usually scratch built or 3d printed. I like the concept in general and, as you can see, can be made to look like it belongs in a chaos army. I would really enjoy a fast moving shooting death machine as it zips across the battlefield. Honestly, I would be surprised if this was ever brought back in any size but I also have hope and as we know “Hope is the first step to disappointment”

That’s all for this week, I hope you enjoyed the read. Let me know your thoughts, and what epic models you would like to see, in the comments section.Don’t forget to visit our Facebook, Twitch, and Patreon pages to stay up to date on what we’re up to and when episodes drop!
