Hello, competitive Warhammer fans! SaltyJohn from TFG Radio here to bring you my second article reviewing the ins and outs of the ITC standings for the 2020 season!
There wasn’t too much movement from last week, the season is still young so while there will be massive movement in the top rankings there may not be massive changes week to week just yet. Here are the top 10 along with Vik Vjay’s personal record.
Still holding strong off that first-place finish at the Beachhead Brawl Vik! Well done. Adepta Sororitas continue to seep into the meta, it is one of the more interesting factions to watch this season early on. Angus Patterson has so far been doing a great job with them taking 7th and 17th place at two different Majors already, quite impressive!
The Adeptus Astartes continue to be a difficult faction to deal with post supplements. If you follow the SaltyJohn Facebook page you’ll have seen my deluge of memes around this topic! Meme culture and salt aside the current number one Space Marine player in the ITC isn’t playing with Iron Hands, Imperial Fists, or Raven Guard. He’s playing Salamanders! I wanted to post up a copy of his list but I can’t get into my Best Coast Pairings app to look it up at the moment. If that changes I will edit the article to include his list as I am sure we’re all interested in seeing what he’s running with his Sons of Vulkan.
With Grey Knights getting a potentially huge bump up from bottom tier to upper mid-tier, maybe even low top-tier, status the Wolves of Fenris are left as the only Astartes based army at the bottom. The mighty Vylka Fenryka need some serious love, and Psychic Awakening might, might, give it to them soon! Regardless of all that Jon Kilcullen is currently leading the race for best Space Wolves player and he has two impressive finishes with the mighty warriors of Fenris. A 2nd place RTT finish and 5th place finish with them at a Major! Nice work. Again, if I am able to get into my BCP app in a timely manner to pull his list I will add it here later.
If you aren’t aware the ITC Missions for this season are currently going through an overhaul. The missions are in open Beta testing so if you haven’t gotten a game in with the changes try to do so soon, and provide your feedback. It would be most helpful if you convinced your TOs to use the new Beta Missions at your next so we get the best feedback possible going into the re-write of the beta for full release. The goal is to have the missions for the 2020 season set by the end of February. The more playtesting is done, and the more feedback received, the better the final product is going to be!
In more exciting news, the above meme no longer seems relevant as emails went out this morning, or yesterday depending on your time zone, from GW stating that Grey Knights are back in stock for purchase! So if you’re like me, wanting to switch from playing Space Marines to something, slightly, different go online and order now! Also, if you are in the South West of the United States and are looking for some ITC points, those of us at TFG Radio are running the second Battle for Los Angeles GT in April. Details on the Facebook page here.
As usual, if you have anything you’d like me to cover having to do with the comings and goings of the ITC this season let me know!
And remember, Frontline Gaming sells gaming products at a discount, every day in their webcart!
Is there an email for submitting feedback or are we best just trolling and screaming around facebook and any article mentioning the itc Beta missions on here?
Leave comments on the ITC blog post here on FLG.
I’ve found the most effective method is mailing hand written notes to FLG.
Hand written post it notes shoved in an envelope.
