Um.. Sean Nayden is a great player, but he did not have a Ynnari detachment, didn’t (and couldn’t) use any Ynnari Stratagems, etc..
He plugged one character. He’s army was as much a Ynnari army as one of those 3-Knights-with-Guilliman-armies that some people played a while back would be an “Ultramarines army”.
Which is all fine for competitive soup and all, but people who picked up Ynnari because it revitalized the stagnant Eldar fluff, and doubly so for people who build entire armies with bit-swaps from all the Aeldari sub-factions to make visually cohesive armies that mix Kabalites and Skyweavers and Dire Avengers in detachments as originally advertised by GW, the army is still non-functional.
https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/40kFFYnnariGroup.jpg
Trying to build something around the new army trait of +1 to hit in cc. with T3 models and no methods to improve charges, mitigate overwatch, fight twice, move twice/quicker is a non-starter.
Worse, the PA fluff from Phoenix Rising with Jain Zar and Lelith and the Midnight Sorrow Solitaire turning Ynnari and taking on the new Slaanesh named Daemon Prince cannot even be replicated in narrative games, as none of those models can be included in Ynnari armies. The no-Mask Banshees in the new box that WC previewed as the Ynnari-specific built also don’t have any rules yet as, to my knowledge, it’s impossible to even run Banshees without masks in the current rules.
Eh, fair enough, the point I was driving at was that he was using the Yvraine to great effect when most players have written them off.
“If Nick Nanavati coaching you can’t get you to win a game, maybe you should go play Age of Sigmar.”
What the hell? What’s with the attitude to AoS lately? That comment, then the insinuation in Chapter Tactics that you didn’t want to waste “top tier” casting commentators on AoS? The second class treatment is getting a bit old….
you mentioned a compiled FAQ in one PDF. Where can one find it?
