So pretty much every top chaos list is the same formula:
AL battalion:
MoP, Caster/apostle/Discordant
3×10 cultists
18-20 nurgle possessed
(sometimes) 3 oblits
Nurgle battalion
Poxbringer/DP/Apostle
3×3 nurglings
2-3 PBCs
Tsons/Word Bearers caster supreme command.
We’ll see how it works.
Seems like every marine player switched their armies around. IF going to IH. IH going to WS.
Richard abandoned T’au. Alex taking chaos is somewhat surprising.
Also strange to see orks still running 90 boyz and 0 meganobz. I thought people would totally switch seeing as hordes melt and AP4 damage 2 is king.
Well, since people are taking guns to kill Intercessors and Centurions, your average Meganob will melt just as quickly.
Well they shouldn’t be able to be targeted ever by normal guns. They should be behind LoS or hugging in combat. And they can actually hug because intercessors can’t just casually punch them off like all the other dudes.
It’s true, “just choose not to get shot ever” is a very strong plan.
Well they can at least hide, unlike boys. Also you can put them in deepstrike if necessary due to bad terrain.
I’m just comparing boyz and meganobz vs marines.
Meganobz can hide, they don’t die to AP 0/1, they do relevant damage to marines, they don’t die to countercharge…
I assume the problem is the dmg 3-4 melee HQs.
Siegler gave up on Tau? That’s heartbreaking. Hope PA5 helps.
I think he should have stuck to his guns, he’s been practicing them all year long and stomping on Marines with them left right and center. Stick to what you know, IMO.
However if there’s one person who would know if it was nearly impossible to win LVO with T’au it’d be Richard.
He certainly is far more of an expert than I on the topic but it just seems weird to change horses mid stream.
I can’t speak to why Rich swapped factions, but I didn’t bring Tau as a direct result of the new painting requirements, and I know that more than a few other people had similar issues.
Richard’s Tau army is beautifully painted.
Iron Hands are basically Tau, except better.
3-4 super-shooty units (mostly BS 2+ at 100 points less than a Riptide) you cannot kill / target wrapped in 5++ / 5+++ bodies that can soak wounds (and, unlike Tau, punch and shoot pretty hard themselves and come with ObSec on top).
Lol. SaltyJohn & co. sure weren’t kidding about those Chappy Dreads.
Goddamn.
I’m rooting for my friend Jeremy Applebaum and sisters to stand up to the tyranny of the iron hands players…
