News
- This week’s pre-order is the same as last week’s and we still have a few of the Battleforces left for anyone looking for a Christmas gift! You can snag one in our web-cart. Discounted prices and FREE shipping options.
- The Las Vegas Open is just over 5 weeks away! Make sure you book your room by Sunday the 22nd of January. After that, our group rate goes away and our room block is essentially full as well. So, don’t miss out. Staying at the hotel makes it SO MUCH EASIER to enjoy the con. You don’t have to worry about carrying stuff long distances in Vegas, etc.
- Submit rules questions and model approval pictures/questions here.
- We released the 40k Champs guidelines earlier in the week, please be sure to read them if you are on of the multitude of players in this seminal event.
- You can begin uploading lists on January 3rd, 2020.
- Lists are due by January 13th, 2020 in the correct BCP format.
- Below is an example of what we consider the minimum paint standard for the event.
- Your Factions must look coherent. What that means, is that your opponent needs to be able to look at your army and know which faction is which, visually without confusion. Here’s an example of what is NOT allowed:
- Playing the above as all being <Iron Hands> or whatever faction is not allowed. Despite them being all fully painted these are clearly units from 3 different armies. It’s OK to have your <Iron Hands> painted in non-traditional colors (like, all red, or blue, or whatever) so long as you are consistent.
- Sensible exceptions will be made.
- When in doubt, send in pictures of your army for judge approval by filling out this form.
- What is acceptable is if you have an army painted all in the same scheme to distinguish them visually by some other means such as in the picture below:
- Having the Cadians above with all Squad Marks count as one <Regiment> and those with blue as a different <Regiment> is fine so long as you are consistent. You don’t have to use this exact product, you can also paint the rims of your bases, or put on easily visible marks on their shoulder pads, etc. so long as your opponent can, at a glance, tell what is what. Send in pictures for approval if in doubt.
- We are prohibiting things like putting rubber bands around the models or hanging them off of weapons etc. to make this distinction. Again, if you have an idea for how to do this just ask in advance to avoid disappointment at the event.
- We are also requiring models be based appropriately this year. Read the Basing Chart, here.
- Thanks to everyone that has helped with what turned out to be a rather big project in that regard.
- Come on by Frontline Gaming’s San Diego location between 10am and 6pm on Monday, December 23rd for our moving sale! We will have some screaming hot deals on NiB GW product and Second Hand Shop goodies. Pick up some cheap Christmas presents and help us not have to move it all!
- Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! We won’t be broadcasting next week so wanted to wish you all some early good cheer!

Great work on the base chart, especially after the rework the last couple of days.
I see that you have Ahriman on Disc on a 50 mm base, I’m pretty sure that he only comes with a 40 mm base.
Nevermind, you already changed that too. 🙂
Yeah, it was a PITA lol, but thank you.
Sorry for bothering you again, just wondering if there is a backlog of questions through emails? I asked a few a the beginning of the month, and followed up a week later, getting a response of judges are in process of answering. I appreciate all you guys are doing, the question is just rather time sensitive and I’m getting antsy, was just wondering if I could get an ETA on answers? I completely understand its that time of the year, would just like to know if I will have to wait until after the Holidays for an answer?
The judges are working through them now, actually. A lot of them had some personal stuff come up and there were only a few able to respond. But, you should get an answer promptly. There are a lot as I am sure you can imagine, and the guys are plugging away at it.
Thank you! Was just looking for an answer xD. I understand situations come up, and I can’t imagine you have tons of staff to work on Q&A. Just pertains to my LvO list being legal or not, and trying to be diligent about my time, as theres a ton I have to do to get ready, playtest, paint, rebase (sisters yay). So TY for the response and hope to hear from & see you guys in Jan.
