Oooooooh!
One last surprise from the Warhammer 40,000 Open Day: a compilation of all-new Warhammer animation! Read more about this and all of today’s news in our Warhammer 40,000 Open Day coverage: http://bit.ly/2OBbKta
As a big fan of animation and 40k all I can say about this is: about time.
And remember, Frontline Gaming sells gaming products at a discount, every day in their webcart!
Co-founder of Frontline Gaming, and creator of the ITC, Reece Robbins has been a pillar of the tabletop community for over two decades. From developing Blood Throne to launching industry-leading hobby products and major events like the LVO, his career is defined by innovation and a lifelong passion for gaming since the 80s. Today, he remains a very active community organizer and business leader dedicated to the growth of the hobby.
Some of this looks like the style of the artists that did Hellsreach and Astartes. If that is the case I am suuuuuper duper psyched.
They mention the dude who did Hellsreach as being on the team.
Then color me excited.
CG stuff: Looks fantastic, can’t wait, I’ll finally see a finished product instead of a fan project that leaves me wanting more, but may not get it.
Warhammer Adventures: Not interested, not a terrible idea, will likely have its own audience, and that’s okay.
Anime: I can’t say I expected this, but HOLY CRAP, I APPROVE OF THE IDEA!
To clarify “may not get it,” I mean fan projects that tragically go unfinished.
Yeah, I have been saying for YEARS that making animated series will massively increase GW’s reach. Massively.
I mean, GI Joe, Transformers, He-Man, etc. were made to sell the toy lines. And you know, Disney. Lol, say no more.
That could easily become more profitable than the actual game.
