Las Vegas Open 2019 Photo Recap

Well the big event has come and gone yet again, and how much fun it was! Here are some photos to help remember it for those that were there and to give those that didn’t make it an idea of what it was like.

You can see the full photo album, here. Thanks to Shelby for taking the majority of these pictures!

The fun begins as enthusiastic gamers file in for registration. Pro tip: register on Thursday night before the event as it saves you time and stress, plus you get first shot at the Vendors hall! Many a Sanguinius found a new home that evening =)

And speaking of Vendors with cool gaming goodies, we had a lot this year! Below are some pics of some of what was on display.

Once the gaming began on Friday, there was a lot to choose from! Here’s a small sample of what there was to choose from in just one of the gaming halls!

We had a huge turnout for AoS this year and if you missed it, you can catch some of the fun streaming action on our Twitch Channel!

And here are pics of some of the event and ITC AoS winners! Big congratz to Bill Souza who swept it!

Warmachine & Hordes had a great turnout this year. And behold, painted armies and beautiful FLG Mats and amazing custom tables by Tyson Koch!

Flames of War and Team Yankee were a national level event and drew the biggest crowd we’ve had to date!

Likewise, Infinity had a record setting attendance this year, too!

This was our first year running Star Wars Legion and had a HUGE turnout! Very excited to see where this event goes.

Additionally, we had a host of other fun events, too!

And it wasn’t just the big name games either, we had loads of demo games, custom games, etc. to be enjoyed.

And not just gaming was to be had but also loads of hobby seminars, too!

The Las Vegas Open Painting Championships had well over 100 entries this year! There was some incredible competition.

The big winner was Torlarp Intararangson with his astounding entry. To see the rest of the winning entries, click here.

Horus Heresy was rocking and rolling this year!

And the 30k Mega Battle was truly insane per usual!

The 40k side of things were well and truly epic! The friendly grew massively and there were some beautiful armies on display.

The 40k Narrative was a blast, with plots and schemes and fun narrative games of 40k to be had!

The Long War Doubles was a new event this year and drew in over 100 teams to compete!

And then of course, there was the 40k Champs, which was well and truly a spectacle to behold. It’s hard to communicate just how big it was without seeing it in person.

This picture is just a fraction of the total number of 40k Champs players! It’s more than you can really capture with a normal camera.

The LVO Trophy with Elvis Berserker on top! Each year’s winner gets their name on it for posterity.

And of course, the incredibly exciting 40k champs finals!

No pressure, right….

After a hard fought game, Brandon Grant was the winner and put his name on the LVO trophy and took top spot in the 40k competitive track ITC!

And more pics of some of the great competitors from the LVO:

Here are some of the other winners from the 40k ITC track!

And here’s some shots of the ITC 40k Hobby Track winning army! For more pictures of armies from the event, check out this gallery.

And a huge thanks to the awesome stream team for bringing us such great coverage of the 40k event! At one point we had over 13,000 viewers and over the course of the event, 100,000 unique viewers! Those are great numbers. Well done to the crew.

The incredible judging staff from the LVO did a great job. Thanks, guys!

And a huge thanks to my awesome partner, Frankie! Another great LVO on the books, buddy. Can’t wait to see what comes next.
