This Week at the LVO

GW put up a promo piece on the LVO!

This week sees hundreds (thousands, actually -Ed) of gamers descend upon Las Vegas in search of competitive thrills and top-tier Warhammer action at the Las Vegas Open.

Even if you’re not attending, we’ve got the next best thing – here’s what you can look forward to this week…

LIVE Games!

The LVO is home to one of the world’s largest (and most fiercely fought!) Warhammer 40,000 tournaments (actually, the World’s largest 40k tournament by a significant margin. -Ed), with their one-on-one event drawing gamers from around the world to Las Vegas in search of glory. We’ll be bringing you live games from the top tables with the help of our star US stream team – Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson and Frankie “doesn’t have a nickname yet, but you’re welcome to help us think of one” Giampapa.

This stream offers you the chance to catch some of the best players in the world at the top of their game, with top-tier lists and tactical insights from our hosts, meaning it’s not just going to be great fun but a fantastic learning experience, too! As always, the stream will be free to watch live on Warhammer Live, with subscribers getting to participate in the chat and check out the games (and our entire archive) whenever they like.

Keep an eye on the Warhammer TV Facebook page for more details, including the schedule, soon. Meanwhile, our usual weekday streaming won’t be on for the next couple of weeks – but worry not, you’ll see Wade and the UK team again before you know it!

The Studio Preview

LVO has always been an incredible opportunity for us to meet the wider Warhammer fandom in person. For the last couple of years, we’ve treated fans to a world-first look at what’s coming next for Warhammer with the now-famous Studio Preview, and 2019 will carry on that fine tradition.

We can’t reveal anything about this year’s LVO preview yet, save that it’s going to blow you away, whatever you collect. The preview will be held on Thursday night in Las Vegas, with a roundup article right here shortly after – check back around then for a sneak peek at what you’ve got to look forward to…

Keep up to date with the latest news on the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar Facebook pages – you won’t want to miss any of this.

And remember, Frontline Gaming sells gaming products at a discount, every day in their webcart!

Ah, okay, so five new kinds of Primaris Lieutenant and four new types of Legion Terminators for the HH game. We’re all waiting with bated breath.

    (I kid, I kid.)

  2. So how about Frankie “Necrons are fine it is the quality of the players fault” Giampapa? 😀

    I kid I kid.

Props to Reecio “I hate Tau” the mustached evil Twin for putting money/pride on the line to show that some Space Marines still have teeth to watch out for in a tournament.

Can’t wait to watch the stream, things have grown in size and quality over the past year to the point that the crazy idea of it truly entering e-sports realm is not the impossibility it was two years ago.

      1. I almost want to commission a comic featuring the dastardly exploits of Reecio and when ever there is a Chapter Approved or a big FAQ he has a Skelitor esque rant “Damn Yooouuu Gaams Workshoooooop ruining my carefully laid plans! X was my hidden exploit to secure my inevitable victory.”
