Hey everyone, SaltyJohn here with a PSA from the LVO 2019 Head Judges for the Warhammer 40k Championships. If you’re one of the 800 players attending the 40k Champs this year, then this is for you! Narrative and Friendly players might find this good to watch as well. I started doing a video from the judges prior to the LVO when I came onboard as a Head Judge for the LVO a few years ago. This year the video covers a wide range of topics and reminders. From Terrain Guidelines and Code of Conduct to painting requirements and conversions, plus a few FAQs, there’s a bit of everything in the video and we strongly suggest you watch it if you’re attending the LVO this year. First up here is this years’ video:
For more information about the Code of Conduct and Terrain Guidelines click the hyperlinks. For more general information and to see the BCP video about how to submit your lists and the format click here. Remember, if you have questions about conversions, rules, lists etc be sure to contact Frontline Gaming.
Deadline Reminders:
- January 8th- Cut off for new rules, with the exception of GW FAQs.
- January 25th- Cut off for list Submission in BCP. Upload your list by this date.
I hope to see you soon at the 2019 Las Vegas Open! If you liked the music in the video give The Contradiction a listen. They make 40k themed songs, most based on the Thousand Sons and Space Wolves.
And remember, Frontline Gaming sells gaming products at a discount, every day in their webcart!
Since we have a deadline to post lists. When is the LVO going to be posted on BCP?
It will be uploaded next week, probably towards the end of the week.
I assume you wont publish lists until the day of the event?
This was an extremely helpful video, thanks. Good to get clarity on dark matter crystal and so on.
Who should we contract if we have another, equally niche rules question for LVO that is not addressed by any GW FAQs?
It’s in the video description on YouTube but here it is too: contact@frontlinegaming.org
Thanks! I’ll be sending an email.
Any chance you can make available the document you plan to have lamented as the terrain layout guide? That would be an invaluable resource for practice games leading up to LVO
It’s not a single document, we have a lot of different terrain layouts so the idea is to provide them for the different sets (well, for as many as we feel need them and can get done). But, yes, I can make those available for others.
Awesome thank you very much! What is the specific name of the TO Facebook group?
Are you a TO? If so I can add you to it.
Yeah Let me know what you need , I do the tournaments for Battleground Games & Hobbies in Saugus MA
I submitted a conversions approval a while ago. What’s the timeline I can expect an answer? If not approved, I have to do some major soul searching very quickly haha!
Where did you send it?
I sent info to contact@frontlinegaming and all five email addresses listed in the LVO packet for the 40k champs judges.
The guys are on it, you will hear back shortly. Sorry for the delay, I think it just got missed.
Got it! Thank you so much!!!
Happy to help =)
I sent info to contact@frontlinegaming and all five email addresses listed in the LVO packet for the 40k champs judges.
Any chance the hobby track judging rubric can be posted before hand?
It will be up this week!
Hey guys, my group purchased ‘Big Short’ tickets. Should we submit both lists to Best Coast Pairings? What about the Sunday RTT list? Also I’m not finding any of these tournament in the Best Coast Paorings app. I’m sure you guys are uber busy. Thank you for all the hard work.
For the Friendly you want to go to the Facebook Group and communicate with Thomas, the TO: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1635486823429469/
The events will be in BCP next week and you will be able to update your list at that time.
