  1. just in case people missed it: https://imgur.com/gallery/pSauuJL

This is “How many top 3/58th lists had these units in the summer season”

    AdMech didn’t win a single tournament in the summer ;-;
AdMech dragoons and enginseer are only there because of team tournaments, where you can match the -2 to hit dragoon spam vs gunlines. Also enginseer is in IG too.

Dominus knight is already topping the chart, despite entering the scene only in july (so getting only half the scores but still towering over so many other units.

Necrons only win with vaults – if those get nerfed (which they shouldn’t… just limit to 1 per army) = RIP Necrons (with a failed RP ofc, oh wait you don’t get it because everyone kills your unit)

    1. So, what’s up with the “top 3/58th”? That seems like a really odd cutoff, unless there’s something weird going on with my browser or whatever you’re using to type these, and something’s getting mis-interpreted.

    1. It’s just data. My 3 comments are just some things that haven’t been mentioned before or just proof that the some number correlate with the public perception.
No one really thinks of AdMech as bad. Almost everyone thinks Necrons are bad. Yet Necrons did way better than admech, vault or not.
The Dominus knight (aka Castellan) outlier just shows how insane it actually is. It managed to top the chart despite being there only for less than 2/3rds of the time period.
Finally I’ve heard Reece say that vaults are too good. They’re not. The 3 vault list sucks. If it meets any sort of counter – it flops. However, yes it is not fun to play against. So I just don’t want it to get a point increase because that’s not the root of the problem. The problem is the ability to take multiples of them.

      1. This isn’t really negativity as the main reason I posted this was to get attention to admech. Every time I’ve heard people talk about worst armies: Necrons, Grey knights, Space Marines – are always mentioned. AdMech is never mentioned, yet is almost doing the worst of all of them (exception: grey knights).

I was just surprised honestly, I wasn’t aware of this.

        1. Reposting the same comment to multiple threads in succession isn’t going to do your cause any favors. If you really feel it’s important for people to know, write a post about it. Otherwise, repeatedly posting about it only going to gather antipathy.

          1. Oh, I only posted it twice. On both podcasts.
I posted it on CT because it was on topic.
I posted it here, because this is the “main thread” of the website.
I won’t post it any more, don’t worry. I just got very excited when I saw this made as I wanted to make it. So I just wanna share it. I’ve already posted it on: 2 discords, 5 facebook groups, 4 dakkadakka threads.
Yeah… I LOVE data and talking about it, especially when it is so scarce as it is in 40k

        2. Ad-mech rangers are quite good imo. Dragoons as well, but it’s tough running those with so many captains floating around. Have not tried electro-priest, but they have seen some success. The drill is amazing with Stygies forgeworld.

          1. Priests have to go first. If they don’t – they die like flies (and a 16pts model can’t afford that).

And the whole drill interaction depends on the TO. There’ve been stories of TO’s not allowing infiltrating drills with priests inside.

  2. I’ve kinda stopped reading the comments section of flg these days, purely because of rvd1ofakind. The sheer gargantuan scale and volume of his negativity is just so tedious

    1. loool

Have you seen Don Tomaso’s posts? Or any of my recent posts?

      I have recently posted:
      being happy about data,
being very happy about the Nova stream,
being happy about recent chapter tactics episodes,
being happy about the Best in Faction podcast.

Sure, I’ve posted about DakkaX3 flaming Reece, but he deserved it for that one.

And I’ll make less posts about Reece not saying stuff is bad or good because he explained why he can’t do that.

          1. Oh I’m not boasting “popularity”. I just don’t want people higher up to get the wrong opinion, that I only drive people away. It’s just that people on this website disagree with me way more often… for some reason, when I the same stuff everywhere. (Probably because this website doesn’t have up-votes/likes, so all you see is complaints. People don’t wanna comment with “I agree” as that seems like a waste)

And generalising people based on forum platform is silly. That’s like website-ism… that’s a word, don’t question it.

  3. Reece thanks for taking SM to a tournament. It was great to hear about your exploits, just a pity you had to change to Ultramarines.

I’ve reluctantly stopped playing W40k with my Imperial Fists as even following the ideas you used, the lack of named characters/ extra abilities makes them unworkable. Whereas in Kill team they have a much better chance of winning.

  4. Reece, when will we see your full SM List and be able to read your write-up about it?
Getting BCP outside of the U.S. doesn’t make a lot of sense right now.

I’m super curious to see it and read about it. Don’t let us wait much longer!

    Looking forward to it.
