The Las Vegas Open, or LVO for short, is our flagship event and home to some of the largest tabletop gaming events in the world. However, it’s about more than just competing with some of the best players and hobbyists of these games. It’s about celebrating the hobby we all love with like minded individuals for 3 amazing days in one of the most exciting cities in the world: Las Vegas!
Gamers from around the world come to have fun, learn, compete and play games. We have something for everyone, with informative seminars, hobby classes taught by some of the best artists of our generation, massive gaming tournaments, narrative events, casual gaming, miniatures games, role playing games, social events and so much more.
We’ve got awesome Hobby Classes taught be some of the industry’s best, including Games Workshop Hobby Seminars taught by Chris Peach!
We also host the Las Vegas Open Painting Championships which draws some incredible talent from around the world to compete for cash, prizes and bragging rights! Start painting your entry and see how you do. Take a look at some of the beautiful entries from 2018. 2019 will feature bigger prizes, and more talented competitors!
You can also join us for informative and fun Seminars with speakers from Games Workshop who discuss upcoming releases, answer questions and show off new models! You can also sit in with media personalities such as MiniWargaming, Tabletop Minions, Wargamer Girl, The Independent Characters and many more to learn how they do what do, ask them questions, and get to know the people behind the content you enjoy.
And of course, we’ve got gaming events! There are more to choose from than we can cover in just one post but, let’s take a look at some highlights. We’ve got a full suite of Games Workshop Gaming Events, of which the 40k Narrative is one of our most popular, with a limit of 100 players and typically selling out in hours. A look at this pictures explains why: 3 days of narrative driven play on themed tables of beautiful terrain with gorgeous armies! If this is an event you want to attend, grab those tickets early.
We’ve also got tons of other 40k events going on, too, including our crown jewel 40k Championships event, which is the largest 40k singles event in the world! But that’s not all, we also have a very large 40k Friendly Event, 40k Sunday RTT heats and we’re very proud to announce the new 40k Long War Doubles Event, too! These pictures don’t actually do the event justice, it’s just hard to take pictures of that many people gaming in a single event! We work hard all year long to make sure every table looks great, too, with tons of terrain to make your games exciting and fun.
Plus, if you do well enough in the event, or are just lucky, you may get to play on the live-stream in front of thousands of other gamers on Twitch!
The LVO is also the home of amazing prize support and the grand finale for the ITC season, too!
Likewise, we’ve also got a fantastic Age of Sigmar lineup, too with our Age of Sigmar Championships and Age of Sigmar Doubles events. The event features some awesome players with lovely armies on seriously beautiful tables, too. Check out the picture below!
We also hand out boatloads of prizes, including crowning the season’s ITC Champion.
You can also get your Shadespire on in a Grand Clash event as well as Blood Bowl!
Or perhaps some 30k? We’ve got a 30k Mega Battle which always features AMAZING models beautifully painted and our new 30k Narrative Tournament, combining story driven action and a tournament into one, fun event!
And if GW games aren’t your bag, there are SO many more to choose from! This year we’ll have X-Wing, Star Wars Legion & Game of Thrones for the FFG fans as well as Flames of War & Team Yankee, Bolt Action, Warmachine and Hordes, Malifaux, Infinity, Pathfinder, demo games and so many more! Each of these events has continued to grow considerably over the years and we can’t wait to see the turnout for the LVO 2019!
And special mention has to be made of the Warmachine and Hordes top tables as they are STUNNING. Some of the most amazing tables you will ever have the opportunity to game on. Here’s just a sample!
There’s also loads of vendors to shop from, too! The LVO presents a great opportunity to browse items you may have only ever seen online, and in some cases to talk to the creators as well.
But it’s not all about gaming as we said, it’s also about having fun in Vegas and making friends! We have loads of organized Social Events to make this an experience you won’t forget. We have daytime social events for non-gaming spouses to go on during the day while their other half gets their game on:
And nighttime social events to enjoy Vegas with friends!
You also get the chance to meet new and interesting people such as the Pink Goat:
Or travelers from exotic places such as Canada! This Canadian is pictured in traditional dress and hairstyle. What a treat!
There’s so much more to say but we’re running out of space! Suffice it to say that the Las Vegas Open 2019 will be three of the best days of gaming you’ll have all year, and we can’t wait to see you there! When tickets go up for sale, we highly recommend grabbing them sooner than later as the event continues to fill up faster and faster each year. All tickets are fully refundable up until 30 days before the event, so you can buy early with confidence and if something pops up, you can adjust your plans without a fuss.
See you all in Vegas!
And remember, Frontline Gaming sells gaming products at a discount, every day in their webcart!
Just a heads-up. You have the wrong dates on the Shadespire tournaments. It says January 26th and January 28th.
Nice catch, thanks! Will fix.
Question: For Shadespire, is there any way to just get a ticket for Sunday, and not Friday? I ask because I’m also entering the 40k Champs, not expecting to make Top 8.
We sell it as a dual deal and the tickets are very reasonably priced.
However, to answer your question, no, it’s only a package deal. Sorry if that inconveniences you.
No inconvenience on my end. You might just want to be aware that I can’t do Shadespire on Friday due to 40k. I just bought the dual package, but would still like to participate Sunday only.
Understandable. We priced it very low for that reason, assuming folks may only go one day.
Hey guys, question we’ve had come up. If you buy the high roller package what do you have to do to get into the 40k champs? I bought an extra ticket with it last year on accident and want to make sure I’m getting the right stuff.
Thanks!
So the High Roller is special registration, you buy individual event tickets normally.
Wooooo 40K Narrative tickets purchased myself and my partner!
Nice! See you there!
Nice. Narrative Package sold out already! Got the regular ticket.
Any chance of a Titanicus event?
We could! Just need a TO if you know someone that wants the job.
Fair enough. Can I toss you a PM about it later?
You sure can, buddy!
If you were waiting to get a ticket for the LVO 2019 narrative event, don’t! Only a few left already: https://lasvegasopen.squarespace.com/shop/9c4z5l9m0sc19rtkahntn1ag8lh0hq-rgjh6
WOW, already over 300 for 40k champs registration!
Don’t wait to grab those tickets!
It’s an Age of Sigmar year for me this year. I’ll be curious how the numbers end up. I suspect the new edition could see attendance for that event spike.
We’re already hitting numbers we’ve NEVER seen this early in reg!
Holy cow, the 40k champs event is approaching sold out, already…this is nuts.
You run a great event man, deal with it!!
Haha, thanks! It’s just so crazy and exciting. Very awesome!
bought my tickets, bought a room through the regular balleys website though, a bit cheaper too which was interesting.
The room rates vary constantly but please use our booking code as we have to book a certain number of rooms are we get hosed.
If you don’t mind letting them know you are with our group, that helps us out a ton. THanks and see you there!
Wow! Just grabbed my ticket after having a blast last year, crazy to think that it’s already close to selling out. As a quick aside however, was a photo album from last years event ever made public? Thinking specifically about the pictures taken of the Sunday awards for 40k.
We have a ton of pics up but no, we didn’t have a public photo album however, that is a great idea for this year coming.
40k Champs down to the last tickets!
Is there a waiting list?
Scroll up to the top of the post, buddy.
Doh…sometimes reading is hard.
Thank you sir.
NP =)
