The Shadespire Easy to Build Warbands have been ported over to Age of Sigmar!
GW just repackaged the Warbands to be used in Age of Sigmar, complete with Warscrolls. This is exciting as it allows you to get more mileage out of this beautiful minis not only in Shadespire but in Age of Sigmar as well.
What this means is that it is a snap to get them off of the sprue, pushed together and ready to play! They’re also in colored plastic as well, meaning you really don’t even have to do any priming or painting to get rolling. Now, we recommend that you do paint them of course as it makes the game a lot more fun, but you don’t have to go get started.
If you haven’t tried Shadespire, the game is also fast to play, fun and growing rapidly. It’s a great choice for a secondary game or a game to commit to competitively as that is exactly what is was designed for. You could make your mark on the competitive gaming scene in the Shadespire community in these early stages with less difficulty than in say, the 40k or AoS communities.
Alternatively it is also a very fun casual game as it is so easy to get started. You can plop down your gaming tiles, bust out your minis and knock out a game in a fraction of the time it takes to play AoS or 40k. If your short on time but still want to get your hobby on, this is a great choice.
Lastly, these kits are very affordable, and there are new warbands coming out frequently making this a great introductory game to the Games Workshop hobby for new players. You can start a new player with Shadespire and then quite easily transition into Age of Sigmar!
Garrek’s Reavers

Ironskull’s Boyz
Huge, hulking brutes, much taller and broader than a man, the Ironjawz rumble across the mortal realms in search of a good scrap. To them, nothing is so pleasing as the sound of battle – blades on metal, screams of the dying, the clamour and rattle of absolute violence is music to their ears. The most fightsome of all orruks, the Ironjawz are rightly feared all across the realms as their numbers swell and their Waaagh! grows ever larger.
Spiteclaw’s Swarm
Thousands of beady eyes glint in the dark, glowing with hatred and hunger as the Clans Verminus mass for the attack. A cacophony of chittering voices and scrabbling claws drowns out all rational thought, getting louder by the moment. Carnage ensues as these Skaven drag their enemy down with sheer weight of numbers, gnawing away at them until nothing remains.
The Chosen Axes
Charging into battle without hesitation, screaming war cries at a cowering foe while hefting enormous war-axes, the Fyreslayers are the descendants of the shattered warrior god Grimnir. They bear runes of shining ur-gold hammered into their flesh – ur-gold which, they believe, contains the very essence of Grimnir himself, giving the incredible strength for which they are notorious. Their fury in combat and unbreakable oaths are legend, and their axes are feared – berserk warriors born for war, the Fyreslayers burn with Grimnir’s fury!
