The tabletop gaming convention and tournament scene continues to grow like crazy and it is an exciting time to be an analog gamer.
- Fantasy Flight Games announces the coming 2nd edition of their Star Wars miniatures game. Read their press release for more information.
- GW dropped this teaser image which could be anything really, some type of smoke, exhaust, magic gas, or what have you. What do you all think?
- GW has been previewing the new Deathwatch Codex and it looks very interesting. Here are some of the key points:
- Primaris Marines to get Special Issue ammo! That is HUGE.
- Reiver Heavy Bolt Pistols have an AP of -3, wow.
- Tempest Shell strat allowing you to do mortal wounds to Vehicles.
- Mission Tactics which function like Chapter Tactics, affecting Infantry, Bikers and Dreads. These allow you to alter your list to take on whomever you are playing which is very useful. You can also alter your missoin tactics mid-game if you choose to.
- London GT: do you want to help check lists for the event or just see what people are bringing? Click here to help out!
….so a few of you may have seen on social media this week about a little tournament in London. We’ve had Zach, the TO, on the podcast a couple of times and this year Frankie and I are heading back to Europe to take part.
What’s super cool is they’ve been looking at a lot off issues TOs face with list checking for large events to try and avoid the unfortunate issues we had at BAO last year and Adepticon had this year, where top players and the best judges make tiny mistakes, that leads to illegal lists getting to the top tables.
What they’re piloting is a crowd sourced list check! Now, with 440 lists in their GT that’s no easy task. But what they have essentially done, is to have all attendees submit lists 2 weeks in advance, these get dropped into a Google Doc that is open to the public and then everyone is invited to comment on the lists included and sport any mistakes. Me and Frankie will be submitting our lists in a couple of days so check them out and make sure I haven’t made a doozie.
We’ll post a link to the list document in the show notes, or you can find it buy going to the London Grand Tournament Facebook page, and now is a great time to see what some of toop players in the world are using at the first big event post FAQ. So check it out, and if you see a list that’s wrong, don’t wait until the event to call them out, post it in the document now using the comment feature and help a brother out.
- Our May live Facebook auction for the Second Hand Shop has some gems in it! Be sure to join us on Friday the 4th of May at noon PST to join in on the fun!

Dang, I’d kill for a Tempest Shell-like stratagem for Custodes. That’s a great way for specialized infantry light on anti-tank options to put some wounds on them.
Yeah, it is quite useful and very affordable.
Would someone please provide a list of the top European players? I would like to check their lists out.
I hope the GSC codex is a fraction as good/flavorful/fun as the D. Eldar book.
Reece, what’s your Venmo for a small donation to the 40k illuminati so I can git gud?
lololol, it’s DracoRepitillianAlliance4President@Reecio.com
=P
I’m getting a bounceback when I try to send to that email: “666 Error: there was an error when resolving the host name, as secret agents of the Elite Liberal Gaming Mafia intercepted the packet moments before it was sent. Try re-sending the message, contacting the shadowy underworld figures who control all that you think and do, or banging angrily on the table and screaming about gay frogs.”
Is it just me getting this, or is it a persistent conspiracy?
1 Greater Daemon (Skarbrand) in a real list /clap
1BT, 1GUO, 1 Rotigus in joke/casual lists
1LoC in a magnus, ahriman list (unwinnable vs Kronos Nids)
0 KoS, 0 Kairos (no shit)
FeelsDaemonsMan
Two 3 Tess Vault lists. I HOPE they just face anti-tank for all their games because anyone bringing these is an a-hole to the entire Necron community, because if they do well – the vault will get nerfed 1000% (MW spam + LoW spam = GW’s hatred). This is why we can’t have nice things.
Sooooooo many fulgurites. But they’re SO bad if you don’t go first, they suck vs screens, they aren’t even THAT durable with 3++ due to T3… However Death is taking 40 so maybe I’m just stupid.
Why are more recent Signals not available on Twitch? Am I missing something?
The solution to the guard CP battery would be to reward “pure” armies with extra CP. That is hard to do right now, but if they did something like. “If all your detachments share all keywords battalions are 5CP, otherwise they are 3 CP.”. Or “If all your detachments share all keywords + 3 cp.”. Or something like that, it doesn’t make the CP battery go away, but it makes it less attractive. That said it isn’t that big an issue at the end of the day.
Important feedback: Reece, keep the beard. Jason, regain the moustache. Franky, no comment.
