News
- The Malign Portents rumor engine continues to churn. We know we’re 16 days away form whatever it is that is going to happen and the details GW is giving us seem to indicate that it is related to the Death faction so that is cool. We so far have the following clues:
- The Field
- The Ship
- The Icon
- The Falling Star
- The Village
- The Asylum
- The Valley
- More Daemons information from GW, with a faction focus on Tzeentch and Khorne.
- FLG League Update:
- We’ve been having a ton of fun with the League and are winding down the last week of it.
- We plan on releasing a write-up of everything we’ve learned and will launch the next league for AoS and 40k in February after we’ve recovered from the LVO.

Interestingly, over the course of the 42 games played so far in the league, we’ve got the following statistic:
- Player going first wins: 18
- Player going second wins: 24
- Here’s a little sneak preview of a brand new ITC Terrain Set on the way! More information and pre-orders to come soon. We may also have some brand spankin new FLG Mats to show off, too…
- The LVO is on the horizon! We’re only 3 weeks and change away at this point and everything is shaping up. After the cut-off for refunds we had more last minute refunds than we expected and so have a little room left in the 40k Champs and 40k Friendly which were previously sold out. The 40k Champs had been up to 515! Exciting to see what’s possible. Also,
- Be sure to check out the LVO Pub Crawl, too! It’s free to participate in, just be sure to be of legal drinking age and to drink at least semi-responsibly!
- The Age of Sigmar Championships is going to be triple digits this year, too. Very excited for that as this will shake up the ITC rankings a ton for AoS.
- Shadespire is also looking to be a ton of fun with over 50 people signed up to play in the first event we’ve ever had which is very exciting.
- Warmachine and Hordes players always seem to like to buy their tickets late and this year is no exception, but we’re always happy to have them and we’re looking at a very turnout again this year which is great.
- We’ve also got big turnouts for 30k, Blood Bowl, Infinity, Flames of War, Bolt Action, Malifaux, and more. This is going to be the biggest and best LVO, yet.
- But outside of events, we’ve got lots of shopping to be had, too! Tons of vendors, out own Second Hand Shop, sales, and killer deals left and right with prices we can’t even advertise. Be sure to stop by and see what deals you can find on some awesome stuff.
- And be sure to check out some of the seminars including informative Hobby Seminars with well known artists, Games Workshop Hobby Seminars with Chris Peach of Warhammer TV fame, and the fun and informative Seminars with all kinds of interesting guest speakers. The Games Workshop preview seminar on Thursday should be awesome, so make sure not to miss it on Thursday night, starting at 8pm.

Really, really hoping Kairos and the LoC get some much needed love. Internet seems to be implying otherwise, but I want to have hope GW wouldn’t miss the mark on models -no one- is fielding.
Eh, the Internet always overreacts to the leaks. Wait and see and get some games in before passing judgement. Seems like you are willing to wait so that is good.
The internet is drunk. If the leaks are true Daemons can do some really scary things and we have clearly not seen the whole codex. If they aren’t, meh, I am sure it will all come out in the wash. The fact they can so easily make a brigade is awesome enough once they have access to more stratagems to use those points on. I have high hopes for another awesome codex.
Yeah, they have some really cool tricks up their sleeves.
As you said, time will tell how well they do in reality but we like them. And again, once we’re able to really dig into the dex, we will talk about their strengths and weaknesses.
As an aussie and tkd practitioner I was extremely upset by your last episode!
I will be sending you a carton of vegemite for the insult!
(/jokes 😉 )
Not Vegemite! Noooo!!!! =P
Vegemite…….salty yeast curd….no it is not good, not good at all. Let us all give thanks that Oz is surrounded by water and exporting the stuff is impossible.
warning History content/dumb trivia : Usually silk was used as an under piece of armor, under lacquered wood or some sort of banding. The reasons ilk was used was because it didn’t really sheer when hit with an arrow.. so instead of having a barbed arrow that had to be dug or cut out you could pull the silk free. (this is what i’ve read at least)
In that sort of time frame a lot of weird stuff happened, usually armor was designed against regional weaponry.. so it would be effective against like..arrows.. or the like..
..but not much against a Spartan spear..
Ah, that’s interesting. I didn’t know that.
Had a much quieter Friday drive with this coming out on Thursday instead of Friday this week!
Yeah, Mariana accidentally posted it early but it’s not a bad thing per se.
