Please do not send an army list in a format such as Army Builder, send them in an easy to read, typed format. Thanks!
Why would the sisters deny stratagem encourage folks to play pure sisters? Why not just a small detachment in a soup list?
Also, can a gemini take the relic? If so, the relic is great!
The idea is that the more units you have covering the board, the more coverage of denial for the stratagem.
A cullexus assassin can only be in one place, but it’s hard to avoid an entire army.
That one stratagem alone can basically shut out an opponent’s key psychic phase plans. Especially if they like to one or two key powers. It can throw off smite counts, it can prevent alpha strikes.
Also, mob up is awesome. Combining 10 or more with 10 or less means you can combine a 30 boy unit with 2 10 boy units and then da jump 50 boyz!
And great to have you on the podcast, Abusepuppy. I hope you’ll be around for more 🙂
Voice fits the posting style pretty perfectly. Don’t see/hear that too often. Neat.
I know, right?
Good episode, but what sealed the deal for me was the guest’s incredible voice. I think he needs to be a permanent CO-host!
30 Shoota boys: 60 shots. 10 6s hits. 3.3 hits with the stratagem… still has to wound and so on…
15 Lootas: 45 shots(if you roll 3 shots each). 7.5 6s hits. 2.5 hits with stratagem
12 bikers: 84 shots, 14 6s hits. 4.6 hits with stratagem.
Hm…
or
As most armies have: +1 to hit for 1CP
30 Shoota boys: 60 shots. +10 bonus hits instead of 3.3
15 Lootas: 45 shots(if you roll 3 shots each). +7.5 shots instead of 2.5
12 bikers: 84 shots, +14 shots. 4.6 hits with stratagem.
Which is why this stratagem feels like a waste of space. Right now the re-roll 1 die stratagem feels more useful when rolling for damage/wound.
Also I don’t know what you mean FAQd? The rule is the same as Death To The False Emperor. You just roll another to hit.
no edit function 🙁

No they don’t. Eldar don’t, CSM don’t, SM don’t, Tyranids don’t, Guard… have a specialized version? I think they and AdMech are the only ones who do.
>Also I don’t know what you mean FAQd?
There is some contention about what “attack” means in reference to this sort of thing, which is also a problem with the Cadre Fireblade. As stated on the show, I strongly believe that “attack” is equivalent to “shot” in this case- so you make a single additional die roll for the weapon. However, Pablo and other people interpret it as “sequence of shots,” i.e. making a number of shots with the weapon equal to its normal shooting profile.
The issue has been discussed to death with no real resolution to be found and there are pretty significant contingents of players on both sides, so I feel like it is one of the things that most needs to be FAQed at this point.
Well, I mean a precedant for +1 to hit = 1 CP. My bad.
And I very strongly feel your interpretation of the rule is correct. Though that’d make the stratagem quite a bit better. How would that even work with lootas. Shoot D3, count the 6s, shoot that amount of D3s? That’s just weird.
abusepuppy is a very good poster
Good episode, good coverage. Abuse Puppies mic is amazing. Loud and clear but not Gain-y. His observations are as agreeable as ever.
Great work on this one, PP and AP.
Anyone know the intro song?
Justin Mahar – The Grind
He’s a great classic techno artist and a lot of his works are for open use to the public.
Sad my Deathwatch didn’t get more. Points reductions are a must for them, I think. They cost the same as Primaris Marines, but with half the number of wounds. I love my army, but they are pretty unplayable in 8th edition, at least competitively.
