News

  • The FLG League is about to kick off and we’re really excited for it. We will be starting November 4th, this coming Saturday, at FLG. Swing by to sign up, or purchase your ticket in advance through the web-cart. It’s only $10 to play, and 100% of the money goes to prize support, trophies, etc. Also, that day will be our first Second Hand Shop Swap! What that means, is we will have all of our second hand merchandise out on display at crazy savings, people really enjoyed browsing it at the SoCal Open and got some smoking hot deals. We will also be purchasing your used models too, if you want to bring them by and get an offer on them.
  • The Tyranid Codex is inbound!

  • The LVO is looming, it is less than 3 months from now! Wow, time flies, it’s crazy. However, this is going to be, by far, the biggest year we’ve ever had at the LVO and many events have either sold out or are on the verge of selling out. The main event, the 40k champs, is approaching 500 and the AoS Champs is filling up, too. Please do not wait, as it is going to sell out! We still have room in some of the other events though, so grab those tickets sooner than later and get ready for an awesome event.

  • Shadespire discussion.

  1. Ha ha! I love the changes to the Neurothrope and Hive Tyrant, but I’ll never understand why Games Workshop loves to give Tyranid abilities like “lose a wound, and get a bonus next phase!”

Holy crap, if people are shooting your Hive Tyrant, he is probably dead. Oh well, my warlord trait and relic are just going elsewhere 😉

All in all, I’m seeing some really fun and competitive Tyranid rules, and a lot of WTF were they thinking? But at least we are getting some options, and it looks like it will be a blast to play!

Still holding out hope there is some reason to use my Tervigon… it really is poor in the index.

  2. Has anyone heard/seen people casting smite from the same psyker in the same turn? example: I take a farseer, and use his two powers that turn to smite twice.

      1. Thank you Reece, I agree but they are making the case that

“with the exception of smite, each psychic power can be attempted only once per turn, rather than once per psyker per turn”

That this somehow removes “each power can only be cast once per psyker” in the base rules for smite. I glad that I am not crazy.
