So you’re saying I wrote this 50 page thesis on the viability of Fistellans for nothing?
lolol, no, please, let us co-author it! =P
fistellans would be great if Cawl didn’t exist, or if they could get a way to re-roll their attacks. or if GW made the fists a bit cheaper AS THEY SHOULD.
still hoping Chapter Approved makes Rustalkers viable.
Lol I was so drunk first BaO. 2 40s and 1/4 canteen of whiskey 4th game. I went 1-6 but had a blast and was sober enough to drive after the awards ceremony lol. The pizza complaints hahahaa still cant believe you bought pizza for free for everyone and there were still compaints drunk pizza is he best pizza. Hot dog with a 20 oz was $23 this year. Already setting aside money to go again next time since I cant make it to LvO.
We look forward to having you again, buddy and yeah, lol, those events back in the barn were hilarious.
How was the T’au showing at the tourney?
Don’t think you talked about it at all in today’s Signals.
Not amazing, best came in 41st with a decent but not outstanding showing. Hopefully the codex makes them more than Commanderspam.
Was said 41st placing list a commanderspam?
Tau were kicking ass then the three players winning with them took a mid-event loss and feel behind a bit.
Wasnt the 41st place guy the one that won his first three, even after they pulled some models for not being up to the 3 color and basing standard? That alone is a bragging right
Yeah, and one of them dropped day 2 and so fell in the rankings.
Yeah, we didn’t cover each faction’s performance, Pablo tends to do that on Chapter Tactics.
Something I wanted to ask in a semi official capacity. How do you guys feel about using tzeentch age of sigmar wizards as Malefic Lords?
You gotta send pics for any modeling questions. contact@frontlinegaming.org
That’s what I do. No one has ever cared. They fit fine.
Damn, that sucks for the guy who accidentally brought an illegal list to the top tables! This should serve as extra incentive to check your list multiple times. With the new Eldar Craftworlds codex, I’m probably going to have at least two craftworlds with different detachments. I’ll be checking it multiple times, and asking other people to check it to be sure. I haven’t run a list with multiple sub-factions this edition yet, so I need to be extra sure I have it right.
Yeah, triple check your list!
Hey so you mentioned the GW assault dice app is legal in tournaments now since its official? That would save everyone so much time on rerolls for $1 it would gurantee games finish on time. An online chat group several people is saying they would refuse to play app users even tjough it would seriously speed up the game to turn 6 with armies.
Unless a TO says no, it is an official product.
A question about tourney play – why don’t you guys use chess clocks for games? Each player hits the button when their turn ends. Then no one is to blame for running out of time but themselves.
That is a discussion that has been going on for several years. I am of the opinion that it is a good idea but only for high level play, like the final 8 at the LVO for example. The average player coming to an event doesn’t really care that much, really, they just want to have a fun game.
How do you guys play obliterators? Do you roll for strength, ap and damage before or after selecting the target to shoot at. Rule in the codex rule states when a unit of obliterators is selected to shoot roll 3d3. The rulebook says first to select a unit to shoot with( which is when I would roll the 3d3) then select a unit to shoot at.
Reese I wish you would take a step back from personal feelings and look at the data when someone wants to know how their Faction did at your event. Getting 91st place is not doing “really good” for Necrons.
The math was done when the indexes came out and all the top players found that Necrons were not an army that could win for them. The math of the Tournament scene has backed up that math, Necrons have not touched the top tables of any major Tourney all year and it is not luck that keeps them out.
Necrons were not an army that could win at large Tournaments when it was index vs index and now with codexes it is impossible. I get the try new things and believe in yourself but be realistic with your listeners. If you take Necrons to a large Tournament you have a 0% chance of making it to the top tables. Like Orks in 7th you play the army because you like it not becuase you think you will win.
Just be honest, some armies need to wait for their codex to be competitive and that is ok. Saying that there is a way but after all these months not one person has found it yet is like denying Climate Change today… the math is not wrong, number can not lie.
I don’t mean this as a personal attack what so ever I just want it known that playing some index armies will constantly mean you will be in the bottom half of the rankings. Believing and hope are good thing to have when tempered with reason.
