Yeah, the Blast Pistols rock, actually. I love Pistols in 8th ed.
Excellent! I always have a hard time finding points for them. But then again I am only writing 1650 lists for a tournament.
I have really enjoyed disintegrators, but often have a hard time justifying paying 10pts more for them over a dark lance. What is your experience with them so far. Going all lances?
I like a mix. We run all lances on the stream as that is how they are modeled but you certainly won’t be disappointed with disintegrators.
The Disintigrator actually has pretty similar numbers against a lot of vehicle targets (and better against most infantry), hence the additional point cost.

So my current 1650 list (for the WetCoast GT coming up) has 2 raiders and 2 Venoms. Does Reece thing it that will work fine or would it be better to change the 2 Venoms into Raiders? I would have to drop the Splinter Cannons from my 2 Razorwing Jet fighters to make the change. Worth it?

worth changing the venoms to raiders?
For max damage on wyches, take +1A combat drug. Take the Agoniser on Hekatrix a opposed to power sword, and Hydra gauntlets. If you can take a full unit of 10, 3 hydra gauntlets are best. Razorflails ans Impaler are trash right now, can’t understand why they exist in their current iterations.
Right now I’m questioning the value of the second cannon on Venoms. At 18″ you have to ask yourself, are 4 poison 4+ shots worth 15 points? At 12″ the difference is only 2 shots and I think clearly not worth the points. At 24″ the difference is only 1 shot. If you’re gonna keep the unit skirmishing at 18″ (blaster range, not coincidentally) then the double cannon may be worthwhile. Otherwise, nah. IMO.
Thanks for the stream guys, Only just got to watch it. This was one of my favourite games thus far. Both players were in good spirits and there was action happening right to the end.
Hey Reece. I’m finding a rules conundrum. It appears Scriracha was allowed to choose a unit to charge your unit with, his unit was Overwatched, and make a charge move. After this, he chose the same target unit with another unit, but was not Overwatched by your unit. It appears, in the rules, that “a target unit can potentially fire Overwatch several times a turn.” I am reading this as all targets must be chosen before charge moves are made, so all potential Ovwerwatches can occur. Am I missing something?
