  1. Are you guys doing all the Faction Focus articles or just some of them? Can’t wait for the ones on Grey Knights, Necrons and Death Guard. Wonder if they’ll have info on the new DG units.

  2. With your Ork bikestar no longer an option how do you(Reece) think you’ll be able to compete with the caliber of players in the office chiefly Frankie who we all know to be the #1 40k player of all time?? The people want to know!

    1. Seeing as its only one faction, Reece can still roll over people with his ork bikestar. So no worries there!

(I’m aware of the joke here :D)

  3. I just don’t understand how people can be so dumb about this stuff. Of course saying ‘these poor eldar units are going to be good now’ doesn’t mean ‘all of the overpowered eldar stuff is still going to be overpowered’. Nowhere in the article was that even vaguely implied. The whole game is getting re-done, there’s no reason to assume that anything is staying the same until we see it!

Thanks for doing all of this guys, I can’t wait to see how fun playing craftworlds is going to be now, and I really look forward to being able to use my warp spiders, windriders and wraithknight without the ever-present knowledge that they’re way too cheap.

    1. True. That’s the same thing as applying new weapon stats to current stuff though. People just flip about these sorts of things. Plus it’s been a loooong time since 40k had a complete shift in its basic setup so half of it might just be confusion.

      1. The same thing happened last time there was a hard reset, from 2nd to 3rd. People were flipping out over the Leman Russ’s front Armour dropping to 14, and the Blood Angels getting a Predator with TL Assault Cannon, but it turned out, once we saw the whole Rules Set, that both of those worked out just fine.

Hi guys, clear that you might not be able to answer now but very curious and hope that you could explain a bit the process for putting together these new rules. Any further inspiration than Age of Sigmar rules? Like what mecanics are ‘inspired’ by older editions or even other games? I am also very curious to know why IC can’t joined units any longer. As much I I hated facing a deathstar, and I never really fielded one (as BA player I don’t like Dante’s miniature and I played only BA so there you go as much for death star options…), I really think that those monstrosity took the game to another level, forcing players to be creative and to try and outplay more than ever. On the fluff side I see that Roboute or Magnus don’t really need to be part of a unit and rather join melees here and there, but lower level of IC should still be able to join units (hive guards, command unit….), and then with the quantity and variety of factions, it’s again hard to draw a line. So I was wondering if any other way to limit death star buffs had been considered like max 1 IC per unit with unit rules overruling IC rules… and why the disclosed solution was favored. Again fully understand that you can’t explain right away but i hope you could come back with more on that when you can. Cheers and keep up the great work!
