There will be no Chapter Tactics today, instead I will leave you with 5 things I am thankful for in 40k and a Genestealer Cult list to watch in the future. Happy Holidays!
1.) I am so glad the competitive scene in 40k is growing. I don’t care if you play NOVA, ITC, Adepticon, or run a small tournament in your buddy’s garage. The tournament/event aspect of the hobby is one of the biggest draws for me, and a lot of players. I am excited to see what 2017 has in store for us.
2.) Speaking of the growing 40k scene, I can never thank the 40k community enough for supporting this game and helping grow the game into new heights. We not only got GW to FAQ and listen to us, but we also finally took a step in the right direction of shaping this game into something we can all enjoy. Also, to all of my listeners who send in lists, bombard me with rules questions, and listen to my podcast regularly, I love you guys. You’re the best.
3.) It looks like St. Celestine is not going to be taken out of the game after all. Hallelujah. She was one of my absolute favorite models. I suspect she was a lot of people’s favorite.
4.) Speaking of favorite models, is anyone else glad that terminators are kind of terrible in the game right now? I mean they are already the model every Space Marine player loves immediately, and despite their terribleness still sell incredibly well. Could you imagine if the 50% of the community that plays Space Marines spammed terminators every game because they were the best unit in the codex? Yikes. GW my brain and my wallet thank you for making terminators have a balanced Badass Model to Subpar Rules ratio.
5.) Lastly I want to thank Frontline Gaming for everything. Reece, Frankie, Jason, and Mariana are some of the best people to work with, and I appreciate everything they have done for the 40k community.
Now that all that is out of the way, here is a list to watch in 2017 generaled by one of my favorites to make the top 8 at the LVO. Geoff Robinson’s Genestealer Cult List.
One quick note about the list, these pictures were taken before the FAQ dropped so one primus has two relics instead of one. Geoff will probably drop one relic for a couple of banners.
