I know! Literally right after I recorded it. Curse you GW!!!
Few things, Pablo!
1.) I don’t see a link to the podcast, lol
2.) What do you think about running two LOW with Fateweaver, opposed to Heralds Anarchic? It’s obviously less WC, but with Staff and Impossible robes on the other two you end up with a pretty decent flying circus alongside Magnus if you nab decent rewards.
Something along the lines of:
100pt Sorceror
10 Tzaangors
10 Tzaangors
Magnus
Fateweaver
LoC with ML3, 2x greater reward, 1 Staff, Robes
LoC with ML3, 2x greater reward, 1 Staff, Paradox
Uh oh, it says it loaded. Ok ill take care of it.
Yeah that could work, though I think you can still just take cultists instead of Tzaangors. I personally lile Heralds because of the amount of Warp Dice you can get. Though, you could replace the heralds Anarchic for a demon CAD with 1 herald with the split locus, a large unit of blue horrors, and as many brimstone units as yoy can fit.
Fair enough. Gonna listen now. Keep up the great work!
I like that demons list. But I don’t like the Kairos / Lord of change models [fiddly resin sounds like a nightmare]. What if I did some conversions of Demon Princes with Pink horror beaks (two for kairos)?
I also hate the herald on disc model, would the Gaunt Summon on disk model fly as a conversion/counts as if I put some pink horror parts on?
Thank you! I think all of those conversions would fly.
The Burning Chariot kit is also a good source of Disc Heralds if you’re OK with that aesthetic. Also gets you a pair of Screamers, 3 Blue Horrors, and an Exalted Flamer, all for the price of a single resin Disc Herald.
Update:
I think you can buy that list for around 350 bucks before Paints, Books, and Summon critters.
Exalted Sorcerers 1 $60 [use as heralds, convert with horror parts, magnets in feet]
Screamers of Tzeentch 1 $30 [use as discs for sorcerers, magnets]
Magnus the Red 1 $130
Daemon Prince 2 $82 [use as LOC/Fatey, graft two horror beaks on one, use spare ExSorc parts for staffs, use horror staff as well]
Pink Horrors of Tzeentch [use as parts bucket] 1 $29
Chaos Sorcerer Lord 1 $15 [chop up and graft onto chosen model and spare ExSorc parts]
Some cultists $30 [most of us have these already]
It’s about $270 if you buy it from Frontline right now. Not a bad deal, I’d take it.
Rehati War Sect
Magnus
3x Exalted sorc on disc (1 with scrolls)
Daemon CAD
2x heralds on disc ML2
3x 11 pink horrors
How about a list with Magnus and Kairos fateweaver and then a renegade knight to shoot across the board. Then fill out the board with horror spam for objectives.
awesome podcast guys!
Thanks man! You should come on sometime.
Nice list! I’m thinking of running something similar, except with Be’lakor and Horrors instead of the heralds and the sorcerer, for guaranteed invisibility, shrouded, and exponential objective camping shenanigans with splits.
A few things to note: a Lord of Change can’t roll on telepathy, so there’s little chance of getting invisibility with this list unless you manage to summon a herald or greater daemon of slaanesh, or roll it up with Fateweaver.
Give the LoC the impossible robe with those 25 points, for a 3++. It’ll greatly increase his longevity, as long as you can make your leadership checks while taking wounds – Fateweaver’s re-roll helps there.
Also, while the initial list is relatively affordable, like you said, you’ll want to buy all the daemons that are possible to summon to make it competitive – so it’ll actually be kind of pricey! Alas, such is the way with Daemons…
Great podcast, it keeps getting better.
Thank you very much. Sadly the LoC can only take one exalted reward. So no grimoire and robe. I was toying with the idea of adding a third LoC and still am. But you lose so much warp dice…
But you assemble team bird boys, Pablo.
Tzeentch flying circus.
