Skaven Pestilens Review
Fluff
Clan Pestilens is one of many Skaven clans in existence. Their focus is disease and decay and their ultimate goal is discovery of the 13 Great Plagues.
During the End Times the Horned Rat, which is the god of the Skaven race, became so powerful the Chaos gods had to allow him into their pantheon, though they did not respect him.
The Skaven are able to travel between realms using gnawholes that they tear through the fabric of reality, similar to the webway in Warhammer 40k. This allows them to travel without the use of warpgates.
The Skaven of clan pestilens and the followers of nurgle are actually at odds with each other. Where Nurgle delights in the death and rebirth of life, The Horned Rat wants only ultimate corruption of all life.
To this date Clan Pestilens has discovered 7 of the 13 great plagues and have unleashed them from time to time on the mortal realms.
The three main clans, Morbidu, Feesik, and Septik, are made up of billions of Plague Monks that are all part of different Churches of Contagion. Interpretations of the Horned Rat’s will differ between these churches and infighting is frequent.

<3 Mariana's voice breaking up the masculine choir. In all seriousness, if you ever need some more rat names, look up "dirty" and "rat" at http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/synonym

Awesome stuff as ever! Was worried for a moment that you guys were running out of battle tomes but remembered that the Grand Alliance books and Legacy scrolls could be weeks worth in themselves 😛
One silly nitpick, the Plague Monks can’t mix and match weapons options in a unit, almost no unit can as it says “some units are armed with a pair of foetid blades, while others attack with a foetid blade in one claw and a woe-stave in the other” so no mixing and matching.
BUT you could have a smaller unit of maybe 10 or 20 monks with stronger short ranged weapon in front and a large block with the weaker long ranged weapon behind. That’s a good tactic for some armies when setting up to take a charge (great for Saurus Warriors), but it might be too tricky here as you want to be charging and when charging you have to have the first model end up within 1/2 and inch so you’d have to make room, and you would lose out on some big unit benefits and have the front unit likely to battle shock away… but still, might work 😛
