If any of you folks saw the Warlord’s Event coverage on the Warhammer tv twitch channel a couple of weeks ago, a line of thirty or so Fyreslayers with a super-buffed save (can’t remember what troop type exactly) took a massive charge from a chaos grand alliance army and lost about six models in the entire game. Actually, that includes the Magmadroth who failed in a last-ditch attempt to capture an objective, but it was remarkable how the chaos army just evaporated against the Fyreslayer line.
The archives of the live streams are on GWs Warhammer TV YouTube page, don’t have the time of Fyreslayer stuff. The whole thing was really well done by GW, very impressive for their first streamed competitive event.
The rules teams have even asked for the lists of everyone so they can analyse them to help improve and balance the game, and an interview with the rules team during the event all but confirmed they’re planning to update the Generals Handbook and the rules/points values throughout the games life.
Another great show! I think the Fyrealayers need a bit of help but they make pretty good frontline units for their Duardin brothers with guns.
Yeah, they really need ranged support. Frankie uses them with Steelhead Duardin to great effect.

Another great show by the way!
Huh, you have a link to that video by chance? Sounds awesome!
Glad you liked the show.

Awesome! Thanks for that info.
Done and done. The battle starts around the 1:42:30 mark. There’s a bit of commentary preceding this. The coverage in general is great.
