On the topic of my Eldar vehicle question, the wargear was actually Holo-fields that grant the 5++ save. Spirit Stones are different. I did submit a rules question on this through the form. It came up in a game recently when I was practicing for the LVO. The codex didn’t say one way or the other, and it’s not in the ITC FAQ. I couldn’t find anything in the BRB about vehicles and invulnerable saves when it comes to dangerous terrain tests.
I’ll have to look into that when I get chance. I don’t have the book with me right now. I probably just glossed over it before. I guess the kicker is if the loss of a hull point for dangerous terrain counts as a glancing hit or not. If it says “it takes a glancing hit,” it probably means you can use the invulnerable save, but if it says “you lose a hull point,” I’d assume the opposite. I’m probably going to be meeting the TO for my area in-person this weekend, so he could probably provide some insight.
And I can now 100 percent confirm that is just says, “the vehicle loses a hull point and is immobilized.” It doesn’t say anything about glancing hits or saves in that text. So, rules as written, I interpret that as you don’t get the save for dangerous terrain. I can see how it could be interpreted other ways though, since it’s not entirely clear. GW rules wording at its finest, folks!

When does the BRB say you take saves for vehicles? I am pretty sure it says when you take a penetrating or glancing hit.

Ys Yes their back..!!! Oh whose back??
🙂
A couple of no talent hacks are back! =P
And here I was hoping the answer was Backstreet…
So good to see both of you back! Looking forward to next week’s episodes.
BTW, Reece, you’d mentioned on one of the previous episodes a separate tactics podcast that you were going to record. Whatever happened to that?
Any Tyranids info “love” coming??
