News
- New Releases this week are Death Masque, Codex Deathwatch, Deathwatch Datacards and Dice. (Go over the codex after rumors)
- AoS campaign is over and the results are out! The Order Alliance came in first by a large margin in all three realms, followed by chaos, with Death and Destruction tied for last. GW has not released what the results will mean for the mortal realm but reviews have been positive, with store submissions being the primary way to record games, and transperency on GW’s part.
- The Hammer of Wrath GT has come and gone, Brandon Grant and his Dark Angels were the victors. Brandon once again was the player with the most amount of wins in a pool of 60 players. This is impressive considering the player pool at the event. It felt like every player there had a competitive driven army, and a chance to win.

Rumors: The Rumor Section is gathered from the web and is not in any way information we receive from any manufacturer nor is it necessarily accurate. This section of the podcast is intended for entertainment purposes only.
Industry insiders tell BoLS:
- Look for the new edition of the Grimdark to show up in Q2 2017.
- The new edition is slated for arrival before summer of next year.
- It will be a streamlined edition
- Look for changes tailored to make the current game more accessable for new players.
- Look for limited design elements to migrate from Age of Sigmar to the new edition.
- This will NOT mean the Sigmarification of 40K, only a carefully selected set of rules organization decisions to make learning and playing much easier than things are now.

The Clavis on the watch master still wouldn’t prevent a knight from stomping
Hammer of Wrath sounds like it was a lot of fun. I was going to go, but life happened. I did drop by on Sunday, briefly just to see the armies(the converted orks with boar riders for bikers and a dinosaur riding HQ was my fav), and there were some really good players there. Looked like a fun event.
Would love to see some list tech articles about the HoW tournament lists! Tau seem to be struggling lately in tournaments (Riptide wings shoehorned into lists aside), but Adam Kinmont finished 10th with Tau primary. I was wondering if you know what kind of list he was running. From what I heard it was a mix of Tau and Eldar.
I will do my best! I have a few ideas. Adam Kinmont is a friend, he was running Riptide Wing with a farsight bomb and the usual suspects in the Eldar codex. Minus Warp Spiders I believe.
Ah got it, interesting. Havent seen a farsight bomb in a Tau list, let alone do well since Jeremy Veysseire finished first at Storm of Silence earlier this year.
Thanks Pablo!
Heldericht,
Thanks for liking my Orks. Thanks to the team that ran the tournament. I had a blast and faced some super fun opponents. Also grateful to all those that commented and voted for my boys. They are having a kegger, because they got to have a scrap and came away with a prize. Bust out da squig beer Boyz!
OH LEAVE DREADNOUGHTS ALONE!
oh man, meta busting, is hilarious… love you guys.
Wait i thought i was the only person who used dreads. Though which might better contemptor with multi melta or standard dread
Contemptor is far superior.
Dread’s best use is in CC, and the Contemptor is AV13 as well as having a 5++ invul. Both of which a normal dread does not have.
Unfortunately i cant fit a contemptor dread. Would a plasma cannon be something to look at? If i ran on it foot or stick it with the multi melta. Im using it in the medusa strike force with the stormlance company
So… I Just placed an order on 6 forgeworld dreadnaughts and I want your opinion on how the meta would deal with this.
Blood angle CAD
2 librarian dreadnaughts
3 contemptor dreadnought with Khares pattern assault cannons and blood tallons
Castor the Damned
All dreadnought drop pods
5 more drop pods with tac squads
So that’s 11 pods, 5 dreads with 13 armor. 5 up invulnerable saves, shrouded, assault vehicles, and 10 objective secured units. Toss in two mastery level 2 characters with quickening to take down wraith knights before they can strike.
Btw, list is totally ripped off from one of the Forge the Narrative guys who went 5 and 0 at ATC.
I run away from the dreads and kill your infantry
Just remember the Forge World dreadnoughts do get the boosted attacks as they are not selected from the codex but rather an Impeial Armour book
Which one? Thought they still had 2
Just stating that because the FTN guy gave his contemptors from the Imperial Armour book the extra attacks granted to dreads in codex blood angels and I’m 99.9% sure that he was incorrect in doing so
Unsurprisingly, the state of Contemptor Dreads is a mess. If you take them from AoD, they have 4 Attacks. If you take them from IA2, they have 2 Attacks. The SW Contemptor from IA: Apoc has 4 Attacks. I think the BA one from IA:Apoc has 3, but I haven’t used it, so I’m not sure.
