Periodically through history unexplained evils arise out of the crevices of humanity to torment wayward unfortunate souls who cross their paths. Hitler, Stalin, Tonya Harding, King Joffrey. We, as a community, are faced with one of these great evils and everyday experience a scourge at local game stores, ITC events, and Tom’s garage. I am of course, talking about the Warp Spider. I am not ashamed to say I am harnessing their evil powers for my own personal gain. This is the list I am bringing to the Broadside Bash. It is cheesy to the Cheddarth degree and it is also insanely difficult to win with and play. So when the new psychic powers came out and Reece proclaimed that the new powers would make killing Warp Spiders as easy as scraping wildlings off an ice wall everyone in the office looked at me, and our next Tuesday Night Fight was born.
Looking over my list, there is no real anti-psyker support. The assassin only helps zone deathstars, but can’t do anything to cover the very large footprint my army creates. I also have no real way to engage in the psychic phase, and that could be a real problem. Right now my list relies on it’s ability to mobilize units everywhere on the board and survive long enough to win the game. I play this list quickly and force my opponents to make hard decisions on target prioritization, and movement. I have no idea how I am going to take losing 4 units a turn from just the stormlord, but if I can get Jason to have to make difficult decisions I might get lucky and win the mission.
