The Shaltari list lacks heavy in the AA department. I would never play anything like that, but seems to work for you.
As Shaltari i would always activate a gate close to your searching infantry, You could have instantly teleported trough the gate after finding the objective, flying it out to safety and easely win the game. 😉

You don’t have to search for objective if you dont want to. When in CQB with the braves, it would have been better not to search, so he had to start searching himself, after winning the fight. Probably not finding it before the game ends and so denying him a victory point.
I love the idea of Dropzone Commander Batreps, but I’m not clear enough on the game to understand the tactical flow of it.
I would love to see a full length batrep as I think it would be easier to follow for players that are only moderately familiar with the game.
