  1. Frankie, since you admitted to not having enough anti tank weapons would replacing the scatter lasers for lances on the wraith knight be good or is it too much remaking of your list? Since wraith knights seem hard to kill, could be really reliable early on.I think you could probably handle 1+ land raider either way. Noticed you only have 2 units in your army to take out heavy tanks tho.

    1. I see the only issue is that two bright lances is not enough to consider remaking the list for. If he had to remake the list it would be totally with anti armor in mind.

      1. He also rolled snake eyes on reserves for his Razorwings, which would hurt the Land Raiders (although admittedly, wouldn’t be super good at it). His list does have a weakness vs. armor.

      2. Ya, Frankies list is definitely solid. I haven’t heard of even dual land raiders being competitive normally, but a new edition brings new possibilities. The new way objectives work this edition, Reece might be on to something with heavy defense. Would be crazy if ppl start winning tournaments again, used to run 3 land raiders with Blood Angels, games were fun making them crack my turtles with only 1-3 units able to.

          1. With all the grav out there there’s just a huge risk that the land raiders wouldn’t be exploded but would just sit in one place all game making mean faces at the enemy out of reach of objectives.

            1. That’s the thing with this formatoin: you ignore all damage results other than explodes so long as they are near one another. So, Grav would have to actually roll 4, 6’s to take one out. It’s pretty solid, plus if you have a Techmarine or two floating around, they’d be able to fix them, too.

          2. Wow, they really are bringing back land raiders then. I guess if rhinos were metal boxes, these raiders are titanium. Are vanguard still extremely powerful? Imagine /910 of them popping out to defend the land raider with that chaplain #damn I think that would be brutal.

          3. If a new chaos codex doesn’t drop by this time next year, I’m really tempted to run a similar list, if no Xenos books appeal to me by then. It’s cool land raiders can be used again, never seen it happen til now.

  2. #4 on strategic is not night attacker it is +1 to seize and reroll reserves.
    Also yes GCs can go up levels.. Can even be deployed there.

  3. Fun list. I do like it. Don’t sell it short. This does have some potential as a meta breaker because of the AV14 action. Throw an inferno cannon on those for the anti battle company action

    1. PS I forget the damn doctrine all the time too. Really need to work on that. Played a local tourney last weekend and told myself going in to remember… .guess what happened 🙂

  4. I really enjoyed watching this with the semi-hardcore lists. Perhaps it would be cool to alternate from the super-comp lists to the more casual lists every other week for some hard narrative forging goodness. 🙂

      1. Oh yea, the Deldar combo is pretty vicious for sure. I ran something similar to this for a little bit and found out the hard way that the Corpse Thief really doesn’t like a psycher star with force weapons. Lol
