Hey everyone, it’s Adam from TheDiceAbide.com. It’s that time everyone, the 2016 LVO tickets are up for order! Some of you may have noticed however, that I will not be running Beerhammer this year. Unfortunately, it’s just too exhausting to do on top of playing in the Championship, and all the other heavy drinking I plan on doing in Vegas. But fret not brothers, you can still enjoy Beerhammer! How you ask? By engaging your opponents in the 2016 Beerhammer Challenge!
The rules are pretty simple:
- The challenge will take place during the normal 40k Championships.
- Each turn after you score Maelstrom points, the player that turn who scored less Maelstrom points that turn must chug an alcoholic beverage of some sort, shot, beer, cocktail, it’s your choice!
- If both players score the same number of points, then no drink is consumed, unless…
- Should both players score 0 points, then your must both drink to hide your shame and regain your lost friends.
That’s all there is to it, get your opponent to agree and spice booze up your games during the championship!
For those of you who have been collecting Beerhammer swag over the years, there is no need to worry because we will be selling the official 2016 Beerhammer Destroyer Shot glass! I’m still working on the final design, but here’s a preview for ya!
Oi, that shot sounds horrible, so I guess destroyer is reasonable.
that is like a 1 game and drunk challenge adam… have fun boys 🙂
Only if you’re losing! Even last game where you wrecked me in would have only been 4 drinks, and I had 3 during as it was, haha. You would have only had to have 2. I think it should maybe require more! 😛
Considering I am now too much of a garage gamer to be able to hang with the cool kids, but also have the constitution of a dwarf, I seriously need to get involved in beerhammer…
Maybe the next ITC event of WarPorch will be one…
I always have fun with a good ol’ game of Beerhammer, I’ve actually written several missions for it over at Beerhammer40k.com.
Oh, I know! I love them all!
Haha thanks, I’m glad to hear it! If you run an event, and want to write up an article about it, i’ll be glad to post it. 🙂
Dude. That would be awesome!
I think that perhaps the December event will be beerhammer…
I had a blast at last year’s Beerhammer. I was too “tipsy” and to walk up and get my scoring sheet after the 1st game….
Fireball is actually tasty if you like cinnamon. I’m going to try making this sometime, talk about fire in the belly ?
