I was finally able to get a few practice games in this weekend. I played two Daemonkin players. Players that have won quite a few tournaments in the area, so they know what they are doing. I was surprised at how well the list worked and meshes together. The Heavy Grav Cannons tear everything apart at range. The Meltas bring down high armor vehicles such as Brass Scorpions ;). The rhinos add just enough protection and give my Grav Cannons a way to move around the table. Lastly the scouts are amazing they give a nice meat shield to the rhinos once I infiltrate them and scout forward. With the list I was able to win both games.
The list is going to do very well and I can see it on the top tables. Especially in the worlds greatest’s hands, aka, me! haha.
Here is the progress I have made on building it. Hopefully will begin painting next week and get the two characters made. I have left all the backpacks, and guns so that I can prime them a different color from the armor.
Let me know what you guys think of the list and what armies you think I will have troubles with.
Ahhh…the double grav’s firing out of the rhino hatch. That is a nasty surprise!
I still think taking three pods would be beneficial, but that is all down to the style of play you are most comfy with! Can’t wait to see the army at nova frankie!
He’s been kicking ass with it in practice.
Yeah I hope it does well. And look forward to playing with it in an event.
Looking good frankie! Excited to play against it 🙂
I recommend you test it out against flyrant-spam.
I said the same thing, that that would be one of his hardest match-ups.
I played both as 5-flyrants against BC (Abusepuppy) and as BC against 5-flyrants (iNcontrol). Both games ended up with bugs demolishing marines.

I wish I had a good nid player like you around here to run my minmax version against. I've so far gotten zero bug matchups this entire season as well, so I'm wondering how mine would work out against flyrants.
Any army that is good in dealing with MSU – flyrant-spam bugs, Scatterbike Eldar, Firebase Cadre, MSU Ravenwing, multiple-centurion builds, etc. – will likely be able to deal with BC, though they might still have trouble against it in Maelstrom/progressive-style missions.
Yeah I will need to test that out and I think it will depend on the mission as well.
Why rhino’s and not razorbacks?
He wants the grav cannons to fire out of rhino fire points. Razors don’t have fire points.
Plus, rhinos are better if you want to run 10-man tactical units.
Precisely.
I like thunderdome.
Me too!
Two Vengeance Weapon batteries with Quad Icarus Lascannon are very tough, will make your flying opponent jink and won’t be a huge lost in points if you never face any flyers being 150 for both.
No fort slot unless he allies in.
But why the one pod?
I think he said it was for null deployment
Yeah the one pod is in case I go second against a shooting army.
Frankie you should test this list out vrs some Raven Wing. I think it would be one of your tougher matchups and would be a good challenge for the list!
Yeah I for sure need to get more test games in.
I feel like you should spring for a combi-melta on that drop pod squad 🙂
Those look really good Frankie. I really like the Minotaurs (even though you are playing them as White Scars) and think their paint scheme is beautiful on the board. I think you have a fun to play list there. I was thinking of painting mine up as Minos before I went with Salamanders.
As a suggestion, get them painted in the Mino bronzes, but with non metallics. I think that would look great.
Frankie, you may want to try out the Anti-Air defense force instead of the scouts. Think you could drop the Attack bike from the Bike Squad to make up the points.
It may be the AA Defense Force fits better with the lots of Razorbacks lists, as it’s a bunch more shooting tanks. Whereas the scouts add more bodies to the mob of tacticals you’ve got already, which compounds their strengths.
I wonder how well the Anti-Air Defense force does against multiple Hive Tyrants though?
How many points is that. About 2100?
