You guys forgot to add my Storm of Silence Score to my ranking
It’s likely they disn’t forget, but haven’t received the scores for the event yet. The process is automated once the TOs submit scores.
I dunno, I’m pretty sure mine has been added in, so…
Storm TO here. I sent them in and they are up on the site so process appears to be complete. My guess would be a discrepancy between the email address I sent with scores and the ones ITC has on file. The joys of manually entering emails from handwrittern feedback sheets.
So snooped around and I noticed the results for Just a Game Con have Ben’s name mispelled. His points for Storm appear to be posted but not the ones from Just a Game Con.
If the name/email is wrong, then it won’t match up and you’ll be in there twice. Reece can fix it.
They are posted but under cromwll not cromwell
Make sure you talk to Reece about fixing it!
Ouch, manually entered?
Reece will fix it up quickly!
My latest score from Saturday got added. But my first score was deleted. Would you happen to know why that happen? Also Broadside Bash GT hasn’t been updated yet.
Just listening to the podcast now. Broadside bash results aren’t in yet.
I can’t answer 100% why your old result is missing. Likely candidates are:
You’ve hit 5 events, your lowest score isn’t counted now.
Or
The name/email didn’t match and you are now in there twice.
So, best thing to do is email contact at frontlinegaming dot org.
Thanks Tinbane. Broadside is my 5th score. I’m guessing everything will be good once that gets updated.
Man. Dark Age is actually a damned good game these days with their model and rules reworks. I’ve been enjoying the hell out of it 🙂
Been looking at Dark Age, really love the background story and the minis ! Infinity looks cool, but the background and the minis still feel regular science-firction to me and not pushed enough, even tho the game plays well. And Warmachine/hordes do nothing for me.
You (or somebody like you) should do an article about it. I don’t know a damn thing about it, but they seem to be releasing models at a pretty frantic pace and most of them look at least decent.
nice cast guys and opening the cases behind you really helped!
Does any one have a link for the results from the tournment with the hard core eldar list ( Game Empire Pasadena?)
would like to see the deamonkin list
The storm of silence had 2 in it
Not sure about the KDK list in it’s entirety but it had 2 soulgrinders, 2 drakes, the d-slapper thirster, 2 cultists squads, a juggerlord and some other stuff.
From what I heard, the Eldar had un-nerfed destroyer weapons and no restriction on scatter bikes and still couldn’t seal the deal. 😉
On the subject of multi-charges and coherency: the original wording said that you could move charging models in any order desired EXCEPT that each model had to be in coherency with a model that had already moved. I think the key here is not just that they had to maintain coherency but that they had to be in coherency with a model that had already moved.
That restriction has been relaxed, and you can now move them in any order you want. It would help if you had, say, ten guys in a line trying to charge and the middle two died to overwatch, leaving the unit with broken coherency. Under the old wording, they wouldn’t be able to charge if you couldn’t restore coherency with your charge move.
It will affect multicharges in the sense that now you can charge two separate units and then string models between them afterwards, whereas before you’d only have been able, RAW, to charge the second unit if you could do so and wind up in coherency with a model that had already charged the first unit.
None of this relaxes the restrictions on multi charges that a) you have to be in unit coherency after the charge move is completed, or you cannot multi-charge; and b) no model that can charge the primary target is allowed to charge to secondary target instead.
Any word on updating ITC for those Imperial Knights? I’ve got the Kubla tournament coming up and am not sure if I’ll be allowed to play! 🙂
Hell yeah. I heard they are going to try and have a decision this weekend
From the multi charge rules:
“a charging model is not permitted to move into base contact with a model in a secondary target, unless it cannot move into base contact with an unengaged model in the primary target. Remember that the charging unit is not allowed to break its unit coherency, and this will obviously limit the potential for this kind of charge.”
The FAQ states that if you are unable to maintain coherency, then you must move as close as possible to another model in its own unit.
So you can’t BREAK coherency, and if you can’t MAINTAIN coherency, you MUST move as close as possible to another member in the unit, which means you can’t charge a unit in another direction (without also maintaining coherency), as you are either breaking coherency or not moving as close as possible to another member of the unit.
I never read the FAQ as allowing coherency to be broken. I think it is intended to apply to a unit that takes losses from overwatch ( a linear or v shaped formation charges a line of d scythes for example) that might gut the center of a unit, but the surviving ends might still be able to make the charge, but not have enough of a charge move to get back in coherency. Under the original charge rules, you couldn’t charge if the unit didn’t finish in coherency due to overwatch casualties, the FAQ allows you to at least make the charge, rather than failing automatically.
Definitely correct. Also note that the FAQ makes changes to page 46 (single assaults), not 54 (multi assaults) Only single assaults allow for breaking coherence. If you can’t charge both units and stay in coherence, you fail the charge via the line you referenced, and instead perform an assault against the primary target only.
Here is how you fail squad coherency due to overwatch.
T = Tau
O = Ork
T T T T T T
………T
………T
…….O O O
..O. …………O ……
O………………..O O O
If the 1st 3 Orks die, you are out of coherence, and previous to the FAQ, you would fail the charge.
I don’t think there is any indication there was an intention to affect multi assaults. If anything it would appear that there was intention to avoid changes to multi-assaults as they should be limited.
Audio is way better!
What the multicharge FAQ really let happen is allowing units to float to help maintain coherency when they can’t make base contact during the charge move.
We have two demon players and a seercouncil player who did that garbage before 7th (and knights). Those lists got put away until the FAQ right before LVO and then the demonkin book came out and whelp, dog rush multiassault nets are back baby.
I don’t understand where the thought came from that the FAQ allows you to consciously break coherency. As stated above, is it is not possible to maintain coherency, you sill have to move as close as you can to another model in the unit, which by itself means you won’t be able to charge another unit. It appears as stated above that it is more about an over watch situation where you are then out of coherency and can still charge.
In the multi assault rules its states multiple times that you need to maintain coherency for the unit.
