Adepticon Update Thread Round 1 through 4 Updated.

adepticon

We’re at Adepticon! I will be updating this post as we go.

The new venue at Adepticon is really cool, it’s a beautiful hotel and the convention center is huge! The 40k championships is in a massive hall, 60,000sqft by itself and that’s just one of many. Really cool.

The 40k championships is as full of nasty lists as expected. This format really encourages it and we’re seeing the heat. First round I drew Eldar, Seer Council Daemon Summonning with triple Wraithknights. Frankie drew Bill Kim. Brutal! More updates to come.

Round 1

Frankie lost a close one to FMC daemons. He got victory snaked by maelstrom at the very end.

Geoff lost in a tyranny mirror match when a psychic shriek popped two hive tyrants turn 1! He was unable to recover.

Reece managed to beat the Seer Council Eldar by getting the bully boys into them in combat, and ended up tabling the Eldar and daemons.

Round 2

Frankie’s Dark Eldar lost another one to drop pod White Scars.

Geoff won his game against AdLance and triple Flyrants.

Reece drew Eldar again, this time Wraithknights,  wave serpents, and triple Flyrants.  The orks prevailed again, with the Eldar having only a jet bike left at game’s end.

Game 3

Reece pulled his nemesis, tau in hammer and anvil. Luckily, the tau dice were cold and it was a battle to the last turn, but the tau took it in a bloody, narrow victory.

Frankie played tyranids and lost a close one when his air units went cold and missed every shot the turn they came in.

Geoff played a typhon chaos army, and managed to win.

Game 4

Frankie played decurion deachment necrons and won his first game!

Geoff played Paul Murphys super friends cent star, and won it!

Reece pulled a wolf star, grey knight army, was dead tired and asked his oponent if he just wanted to brave heart it and assault each other. He agreed, the armies charged, everything was dead turn two apart from a few models on either side. The wolf models left were faster and took more objectives to win a close one.
