  1. wow I need to work on my uhhs and umms. For those of you that have never played Frontline Mission:

The deployment zones are 12″ (board size is 48″ sq of course), between the two deployment zones are three range bands each 8″ deep. The farthest range band from your deployment zone is worth 4 pts to you at the end of the game, the 2nd farthest (center range band) is worth 3 pts, and the nearest range band is worth 1 pt. To control or dominate an area you need to have more points than your opponent in that area. Classified Objectives give 1 pt each.

At the end of the game I could have just left Eurodos in melee, and ran my models up to win, but where was the fun in that? I decided to just let the combat between the big monkey and the psycho play out to a conclusion and until I was out of orders. I think Reecius marked it as a win for the Aleph but technically that was a Morat win. 3 pts for center table range band for Morat, 1 pt for classified objectives for Aleph

    1. That’s so funny that I won, lol!

You beat me though, in essence. I deployed so poorly, I got what I deserved. Infinity definitely has a different feel to the way it plays.

  2. yeah deployment is a big deal in infinity, there are a lot of nasty tricks, and typically you will fall to them the first time they are played against you. AD, Camo, TO camo, impersonators, etc all bring another level of tactical play to the game that I feel is lacking in other miniature games out there today.

    1. Yeah, Infinity is good fun. My one complaint though, is that a single model can do so much damage by using unlimited actions. I am sure I will get used to it, but I have had so many games where a model goes “Rambo” and essentially wins the game, solo.

  3. I think you will find that the longer you play the less that happens, possibility is always there however. As you get more experience with deployment, order management, troop placement/positioning and support that Rambo doesn’t usually last.
