Las Vegas Open Tickets up for Sale!

lvo.2015

Las Vegas Open 2015 tickets are now up for sale and moving fast!

You can buy your tickets here. The 40K Championships especially are moving extremely fast, do not wait to get your tickets.

Go to the Las Vegas Open tab at the top and go through the drop-down menu to read event descriptions or click on the tab for a schedule of events and to book rooms. The room block is currently booked, but we are in the process of getting another 250 rooms for the event. We will let you know when those are available at the smoking hot rate we negotiated.

We also added another 6,000sqft! There will be tons of room for games this year! That puts up to just about 29.000sqft, so this will be nearly double the size of last year. We are very excited!

We do have some vendor space left, but it is gong fast. Please reach out to us if you would like to get some table space at the LVO this year.

We’ve got 40K events, board games, Dropzone, Warzone, Warmahordes, Hobby Seminars all over the place, Fantasy, Infinity, Beerhammer, Pub Crawls…you name it!

We look forward to seeing you all at what will be the biggest, best, and most amazing event we’ve run to date!

  1. Since it’s not specifically talked about on its own page: how are Dedicated Transports handled for the Highlander event? Presumably they suffer from the usual “can only have one in an army” limitation that other units have, but what if they are selected as part of a Troop unit? Could an Eldar player take a unit of Dire Avengers in a Wave Serpent, a unit of Jetbikes, a unit of Rangers, and then a unit of each of the two types of Guardians and put one of them in a Wave Serpent (as he has taken every type of Troop available to him, allowing him to double up on one?)

Also, how do units with the same name from different codices count? Are DE and Eldar Harlequins considered the same, or a BA and SM Land Raider? What about Eldar and Tau Pathfinders or Tyrand and Necron Warriors?

(I love the idea, by the way, so kudos to you guys for coming up with it.)

    1. We can’t take credit for the Highlander format, it was created by others, but it is awesome and makes for a really fun game.

To answer the questions, transports count for the 0-1 limit. You can only have 1 of any of them.

And yes, units with the same name per your examples can’t overlap.

      1. I have considered the Noah’s Ark format before too… you have to take two, and only two, of everything in your list, equipped identically

Obviously has limitations with allies and special characters, but that’s kinda the point. I guess you could allow one single HQ to stand alone…

I have built quite a few of these Chaos lists for fun by self allying… Defilers, Heldrakes, Forgefiends, Helbrutes… kinda fun!

  2. So i noticed on the rules page some new LoW choices are allowed, but there are a couple of different font colors used… Will there be a formal announcement? I really want to buy my scythed hierodule… Sadly the kit doesn’t make both types!

Barbed Hierodule may be better overall in any case… but I prefer the Scythed. No rush- I wouldn’t dream of starting to paint a model that big until one week before the LVO anyway 😉
