  1. couple of thoughts about the revenant madness. how would demon flying circus deal with it?
how about vulcan drop list with combo melta stern guard. necron flyer spam? necron teleport haywire tank hunter warriors fun?
    storm raven heavy lists?
    horde Ig maybe?
I agree it’s the most problematic of the super heavies and I think a poor choice for a first release. but there are hard counters to it. I think quite a few without any changes to lists.

how many hard counters does it take to make a list not viable?

if it wasn’t for the revenant I don’t’ think there would be any need to “fix” d weapons, you can always look out sir hits or just not be in line of sight… or be a flyer.

but if you wanted to make less nuts D rule how about. str10 ap1 armour bane instant death on a 6. reroll all successful saves, no ability can countermand this ability[ no fortune or tzeentch on 1’s etc].. pinning?:P

I’d prefer no changes though and I don’t own any supers.

    1. We picked it because, one, I have one painted in the shop! haha

Two, we thought it was the most brutal and it was.

We played it against FMC and it was a joke, the FMCs got blasted or stomped off the table.

Downgrading D Weapons would be choice to consider but then you have to think about the points values on stuff.

      1. wow, woulda thought the Fmc’s woulda done something about it, no getting by D till on the ground. nuts! 🙂

Can’t wait till you get more practise in, more reports!! 🙂

  2. I voted to not let frankie have his hooked of phonics. He might become an even better player if he could read.
And he would be upset if he knew all the stuff we said about him online 😛
And you know my stance on the issue. No Non codex supplemants. No more then 2 books allowed per army(Supplements count towards) No formations and girls in bunny outfits serving imported bier on tab all comped by the Zero Comp Team

  3. for mega mats i’d like to see the alien landscape with green slime and cracks and weird organic formations AND the lava cracked hellscape. then if those do well, do a candy-land!(but sersly, the first 2!)

  4. I already voted on the poll that was sent out and my opinion for the tournament scene should be as follows:

    No Super Heavies
    No New Fortifications
    No Formations
Yes To Data Slates Such As Be’lakor (sp?)

D weapons were never meant for regular play and had GW just changed D weaponry to balance itself for regular play it probably would have been fine instead of just lateralling straight into regular play. All these releases in such a short amount of time is far too much to figure out in two months before the LVO. Having an army that can theoretically compose of models from four different books is absurd and way too confusing. The data slates I think are okay as so far are not OTT and are pretty straight forward. Im sure Cypher will be the same and should also be allowed unless he does something ridiculous. Last and not least I remained neutral on the rerollable 2++ as yes it is a terrible mechanic but it is manageable. All it takes is one failed grimoire or one failed psychic spell and you can pounce on that death star to knock it down. I have done this numerous times with great success.

  5. No public poll so I couldn’t vote but for everyone’s sanity I would just keep it to what people enjoyed before these releases. No formations, super-heavies etc etc..the only safe assumption is that people who are going to the event enjoyed the way the game was before these releases…
