Frankie, come back with your shield or on it!
Annnnnn, Frankie got stomped. Doh! haha, ouch.
What round was this?
3rd round. Right now it’s Darkwynn vs. Camacho.
Was a tough game, the 2+ re rollable makes it so hard to have a good game and once the hounds got proofed by instability he was all done. Really don’t like the screamer star think no one at GW thought out the interplay of rerollable Tzeentch 1s with the grimoire…
I agree, that unit is bullshit, honestly, it shouldn’t be in the game. A friend of mine made the argument that it allows players that aren’t as good to compete, which is true, but a top player with that army when it gets powered up is ridiculous. A lot of armies just don’t have the tools to fight it and it results in a really, really unenjoyable game.
Played 2 of my 3 games at BitF against excellent opponents with grimoire, tzeentch, fortune and stomped both of them soundly. Of course nids have the tools between tarpit and shadows to do it. They made for difficult, technical games and both basically revolved around unboxing the pieces that make the deathstar work.
I am not a fan of the unit and, if there was ever a call for TOs to make any othewise “legal” unit illegal for tournament, this would be it. While that is a slippery slope I don’t necessarily support, nerdrage over truly gross combos like this could get so loud it gains traction. Of course, eldar can pull of something similar.
GW not thinking about it really speaks to the lack of depth in their playtesting…
I know, I agree with you 100%. Even just saying no better than a 3++ or something similar would fix it.
And yeah, Nids can take Daemons down consistently. They have all of the tools and you have the skillset to apply it properly.
Now to just find a way to deal with Venom Spam consistnatly and Nids will be dominant! haha
The only reason i don’t feel bad is that Capt. Cheese himself, got wumped by some grade A GOUDA lol
Hahaha, right? His cheese got out-cheesed!
Glad some of the frontline team made it down to the brawl it was a blast, i used a list centered around a big seeker and hound unit, took an aliied heldrake and really i think a mauler fiend would have been better running up the gut with the hounds and seeker
Maulerfiends are awesome so long as they are supported. On their own they get schooled too fast.
And yeah, Brawl is such a fun event. I would have gone but I was sick and didn’t want to get anyone else sick.
How’d you do?
i went 2-0, I lost to Vince W. Nids in round one, I should have made a request for round one not to fight a regular opponent. oh well thems the brakes, at least it was a loss to a skilled player with a great army. On a high note his warlord tervigon got turned into a herald turn 2 so that was a cinematic moment and our midfield 60-70 model scrum/combat was a blast
Ahhhh, Warp Storm table! Gah I hate that result soooooooooooooooo much, it is not fun. It honestly shouldn’t be in the game, that is absurd. I mean, it is lucky for you when it works but my goodness is that so ridiculously OP and unfair.
Rant off. Haha, but yeah, Vince is a top notch player and his Nid list is excellent. They are also one of the best armies to fight Daemons with, so that was a tough match for you.
trekkies yell khaaan!!! 40kers yesl Warp Storm Tableeeeee!!!! lol
…but we pay a 300 point fateweaver tax to help mitigate it remember it can basically strip the entire army’s save and also kill your own daemon characters…
Oh I am totally Nerd Raging, no doubt =) That said, Fateweaver isn’t a tax at all, he turns the Warp Storm Table into a wepaon, his reroll per turn is worth 300pts alone and he is an excellent Gun Boat and utility, Fateweaver is crazy good.
Hey, we forgot to take the leadership test. I was so busy fuming about you getting an 11 and how it was a broken table that I forgot I actually had a 50% chance to turn to a herald. Sokay :), still a great game!
Me gutpunching your demon prince with the book on turn 1 before he could use it was clutch. Go go gadget brainleach worms with 42″ threat range :). Would have been a different game had I failed that.
Your so right, dude im sorry about that, the daemon prince got fired lol he’s getting replaced by the 2nd string lol, how many attacks we’re being rolled in that center combat? it was an insane mosh pit lol
At least the screamerstar has several weaknesses that can be exploited, try versing 6 waveserpents and 3 prisms, wow is that a boring sir spamsalot army. To be honest all the complaints seem to be coming from equally cheesy Tau or Eldar players. Great job Frankie on making it to the invitational.
I still think he needs to commit sepuku for bringing shame on Team Zero Comp for his defeat! hahah =P
By “Tax” on Fateweaver, I think you misunderstood me. What I meant to say was…..oh look at the time, lol
Hahaha =P
I totally want to watch this, did anyone save it or have a link? On a side note #11 on the warp storm doesn’t effect psychers with the daemon rule. However it can effect friendly non daemon psychers, say for example a chaos sorcerer.
We didn’t record it, no, but good point on the Daemon Table….damn that table!!! haha
Don’t believe him. It was recorded, but Frankie deleted it.
=P
so on my third game i rolled the 12 and got a free unit of 14 daemonetts who proceeded to kill a tricked out wave serpent so a 0 point unit killed x amount of wave serpent lol, and anyone who says that table is broken please refer to exhibit A…. Tau/Dar, thank you I rest my case… See chewbacca lives on Endor but hes a wookie, that just doesn’t make any sense( got to love south park)
Hahaha, Taudar…sigh….the standard by which all other cheese is measured!
At Redstone Rumble I got a 12 and got a free unit of Horrors, who killed a Wave Serpent by showing up in rear armor.
Which was my only kill that entire game. Their death was one of my only lost units (the other was a squad of Horrors I actually paid for).
I won 17-3, because I figured out how to beat Serpents. Hide and Seek! Daemons are so brave!
