Comikaze is a fun event, and a unique event in miniatures gaming. We enjoy it a great deal, and would like to see it continue and in order to do so we need to hit attendance figures that satisfy the board of directors of the event. You can’t wait until the last minute to buy tickets on this one.
In the event the 40K tournament is Cancelled for Comikaze, anyone who did purchase a ticket will be fully refunded.
Tournament attendance has been down almost everywhere this year. :/ Not just for this event. Same going on in the UK.
Yeah, Duel Con didn’t hit the numbers we anticipated, either. I don’t think it’s a trend as the scene is still really healthy, perhaps we have just come to a point that with the sheer amount of events, the traveling tournament pool is diluted.
In California though, we still have the same events we have every year with one or two less, actually.
We shall see. Las Vegas though, is quite healthy which is clutch.
Maybe its time to sit down and figure out which tournaments need to continue and which ones need to be cancelled as there are probably too many tournaments out there at the moment. Hopefully Duel Con isnt one of the ones to be cancelled as I had a blast for the second year in a row!
Perhaps. But Feast of Blades just sold out, and Duel Con did grow, it was just on the casual side that we saw the most expansion. The tournament itself stayed about the same as last year.
I don’t think there’s any cause for alarm at all, I think we just need to be patient and see what the new year brings.
I dont know any tournament didnt grow this year. I am not sure anyone need to cancel. Some just expect growth to be bigger. Last year at this time comikaze is about the ssme shape? I am just guessing on that one
