Tactics Corner
- Grav Weapons. Use them not just to kill stuff, but to hit them with concussive and then hit them with something that combos with that such as Jaws or Blind weapons as on the Burning Blade and Cerebus launcher to further debuff them.
Rules Lawyer
- People seem to think you can only take a single Relic or only a single relic on any given model. Again, due to poor word choice, GW makes it confusing, however you can take more than one relic per model and more than one relic per army.
- Since Nova’s hit all targets in range, regardless of LOS, could you fire it off from inside a transport with no firing ports?
- Hey Frontline, first off thanks for all that you guys do. I love your video bat-reps and your podcast. My brother and I listen to it all the time while working on our 40k stuff, and we really laugh our asses off at the banter between Frankie and Reece, you guys are great.Well as it turns out no sooner do I finish painting my wraithknight than centurions hit the scene, and its got me pretty bummed. I was hoping for an edition where big monstrous creatures would generally be really tough deal with but of course here comes the super-hard counter in the form of grav gun centurions. So in trying to come up with a counter of my own to the centurions, I was listening to your podcast and you guys mentioned the tournment counci was going to rule in favor of infiltrating characters being able to join a unit before deployment, so I thought I just ask you guys directly: can Illic Nightspear join a non-infiltrating unit and deploy with them using his deployment rules? And if so can you do this with allied forces such as my Dark Eldar?Anyway I hope you guys can get a chance to respond to my question. Again I really love your podcast, and video-bat reps. I only wish I lived on the west coast so I could get a game in against you guys. Thanks Again
The rules under “Declare Target” in the psychic power section does say that unless otherwise noted, the psyker must have LOS to his target (and thus can only target the transport, himself or his unit). Nova’s however do note that they do not require LOS, so there is nothing else that I can find that would prevent them from using it, just like any other psychic power that doesn’t require LOS.

List Review
Hey guys!! Not sure if you’re familiar with it but I’m attending Da Boyz GT in Rochester on the 23rd (or so) of November. I’ve been tossing around ideas and with the unique restrictions (everything besides troops and dedicated transports are 0-2, the listed entries are 0-4) I’m thinking this list has all the tools to keep all but the most extreme lists at bay:
GK
Coteaz
10 GKSS w hammer, 2 psycannons
9 warrior acolytes with bolters
9 ” ”
3 DCA 4 crusaders
2x Dreadnought, 2x AC, psybolts
Land raider redeemer, psybolt, mulitmelta
Aegis defense line with quad gun
Tau commander, 2x missile pods, PENchip, Iridium armor, target lock, drone controller
Riptide, Ion, fusion, EWO, velocity tracker
8 fire warriors
10 kroot, sniper rounds, hound
5 marker drones
Broadside, HYMP, EWO, 2x missile drones
The list is 1850. The DCA squad goes in the raider and performs the “come at me bro” portion of the list. Coteaz takes prescience plus whatever most of the time, until deamons show up, then he turns off the grimoire.
Commander runs the drones or supports the riptide. FW run the quad gun or hide, same as the acolytes.
The kroot are hilariously for wraithknight duty (not that that is their ONLY role, but I always feel I need to defend the kroot.)
The GT is NOTORIOUS for big LoS blocking things, so given my mobility and ability to “hide and seek” the commander/riptide, I feel like this could do well!
Thoughts?
