So, a ton of folks are super pumped for this! Here’s the lowdown.
We have between 12 and 20 locals are ready and really excited for this league, it should be a blast.
So, we will begin next week, Monday the 19th. We will take sign-ups for that week and everyone has until Saturday the 31st to get their first game in. From there everyone is required to play 1 game every 2 weeks through to the end of the league which will be December 21st. By then, we will all have a 2,500pt army, that is painted to a 3 color standard! Pairings will be handled by myself (Reece) and you do not have to play at Frontline Gaming for the game to count, you can play at another store, home, whatever, you just have to get your game in in the allotted time or you both count as having taken a loss. We will help facilitate communication on that matter and will make exceptions if someone has something major come up. We’re not trying to inconvenience anyone, just impose consequences to ensure folks don’t flake out.
We will start at 500pts, and work our way up from there at 250pt increments every 2 weeks. All models are required to be painted to a 3 color minimum or they can not be used in the game! Primer counts as a color so if necessary, you can just wash and/or drybrush them to hit the minimum.
We will play straight book missions and use book rules. We may add in modifications as we go if needs be but for now there will be no comp restrictions as none of us knows the game well enough to really say anything intelligent on the matter! If things prove to be too crazy over the top (as I have been told repeatedly that Teclis is) we may make changes but it really isn’t our style to use comp (Team Zero Comp and all! haha) so we will see if that works in Fantasy.
Each player will be required to submit results of the game (we only need to know who won and who lost) but a battle report would be great and will be published on Frontline! Players will be required to send us a picture (cell phone pictures are fine) of their game for posting on the site and also so we can see who played who!
That’s it! Super simple, just get a game in every 2 weeks and add 250pts of painted goodies to your list in the same time period. The winner of the league will come down to a battle royal between the two players with the best W/L/D records at the end of the event (strength of schedule for tie breakers) and will receive a cool prize! We will also be offering sweet deals every round of the league.
