News

  • Justin Jacobson is the man! Frankie accidentally sent him 2 Tau Suit Commanders and he called us to let us know about the mistake and sent it back. That is a good Samaritan right there.
  • We have to offer Alan Pajama Pants Bajramovic a sincere apology. That FW IG army in the picture from WargamesCon that was floating around was not his and it was not allowed to be played that way. So, again, sorry to Alan for implying that it may have been his and thanks to him for clearing it up and explaining that the army wasn’t allowed.
  • Thanks to Goatboy for hooking us up with some sweet art!

Total Roster Cost: 1850I bring a Portaglyph or maybe a Grimoire for the first exalted gift and a Doomstone for the second.

I apologise for the Vendettas but ‘fight flyer with flyer’ is the best tactic for non FW friendly events when you hate flyers and a pack of 2 Vendettas is pretty reliable at killing nasty Baledrakes while they fly around the Horrors on the Skyshield who are giving them the finger while trying for some pot shots too to see if Tzeentch wills it 🙂 I call my pair the Ghost and the Darkness and need to do some justice to those names (I am a poxy painter so I don’t expect too much but the fluff concept is cool).

Battle Psykers + Primaris Psyker + Doomstone delivery system is great fun when it works.

Prescienced Screamers I just love, not quite as broken as before (still undercosted for what they can do) but great for their tactical versatility and reach, at least now you have to make a conscious decision for the close combat.

I love Horrors too, the worst and best troops in the codex depending on what you try to do with them and the plastic models make them look wicked and fun at the same time.

The Harker squad is a new addition that is great for that extra early threat too. Tried it at Skibbcon in one of the lists and it was very effective!

  1. Thanks for reviewing the list. Divination Heralds with the Screamers are a definite necessity to keep them performing well. 3 chances for one of them to get misfortune really makes the gang punch well when the others keep prescience up. You were right about Harker’s squad, cool idea but only delivered once over the weekend. Double Vendetta lets the front one soak the hits and jink while the back one is ready to pop forward next turn with full fire for effect but I do get that you risk losing two in one go however you are no worse off than a Stormraven player for nearly the same points and double Vendettas are more resilient and better anti-fliers.

    1. Very good points on the Divi Heralds. And also very true about the Vendettas, they are criminally undercosted! I would prefer 2 separate but as they are your allies, that is obviously not possible. On the whole though, looks like a nasty list!
