The Las Vegas Open has the potential to be a MASSIVE event. It has all of the qualities a great event needs. Plus, by gearing it to be a social event as opposed to a more niche event, we can really grow this into something special.
We’ve already got the commitment of Goatboy, Darkwynn, 6th Street Alan (Winner of WargamesCon and the ETC Singles) to come, and Carl from the Independent Characters was super excited!
I have a felling that this could become fantastic if done well, and we’ve piled up a ton of experience running all of the events we have. I feel that we are in a position to really make this something special and appeal to a larger gaming audience.
We’re looking at late January or early February. What works best for all of you reading this?
But thanks again to Goatboy! That image is hilarious and I think it will make a great promotional piece as well as a great T-Shirt!
And P.S. We may try and make this happen for 2013, not 2014!
Oh, how you tease me. Man, I hope it pans out that I could make it to this. In regards as to when to have it, when is the airfare to Vegas at it’s absolute cheapest? 🙂

We’re debating right now as to which year is more viable. We have a back up piece with 2013 on it!
Off season is Jan-Feb
Sounds perfect. If I were to attempt to make this all work, the weekend of Feb 15 would be the most viable. And with Monday being a holiday, folks could stay an extra day to enjoy the sights 🙂

I’m going to BAO as it is in driving distance, but I’m trying to convince my wife she really wants to see Vegas too. Plus I still have to make it down to get in a game against you Reece! (or if you want to make the trip up the home cooked dinner and drinks invite is still very much on the table)
I would hate to see something like this flop.
Take your time with it and make it become something truly epic because I think it could be Great!
I recommend Feb over Jan and I think 2014 is a realistic time to have this thing launched.
Thats a lot of time to get the word out and get people committed.
