Even with thecurrent codex, the change in psychic powers and slow and purposeful has made the ksons quite formidable, costly but formidable. I’ve been playing 3 units of them with a sorceror and a familiar and the ability to roll out three 4units with marine sniping fire power and some extra magical love( psychic shriek is guaranted and objuration mechanicum though not guaranteed helps with flyers greatly) is quite nice.
IG with CSM allies can take 3 psyker battle squads that can reduce enemy leadership to a minimum of two and a total of 5 psykers with psychic shriek for 3d6-Ld wounds. Two primaris psykers, a CSM hq with at least one psychic power and two ksons troops. It is a tad costly though and enemy anti-psyker items and abilities as well as vehicle heavvy enemies are resistant to it. In theory, anything that isnt resistant should take heavvy losses. At it’s best, it’s 3d6-2 wounds with no cover or armor saves allowed. Shriek still has good potential to hurt if the IG psyker squad fails to reduce the Ld. And if i remember correctly you can stick everything in transports in case you need a way to survive the first turn or just want to get close to the enemy faster.
You could also roll with CSM with IG allies. That would give only one psyker battle squad but you’d have alot more psykers with shriek. Depends on what you’re up against. There might be other allies that are better at reducing Ld then IG and there might be armies with a better density of psykers or more ways to counter counter-psyker then CSM. Grey knights perhaps? Something that is quite good at wrecking vehicles wouldnt hurt either.
Those are some SWEET looking Terminators. After Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns, I’m really eyeing Thousand Sons when their new codex hits 🙂

If I had the funds now, I’d totally pick them up. But for the time bieng, it’s a future project 🙂
Everything looks great! What bits did you use for the Deamon Prince?
Plastic Daemon Prince and LoC bits. Makes him look buff!
