In this match we have Frankie piloting the Scarab Farm Necrons against will and his tried and true Fatecrusher Daemon list.
This was an excellent test of the Scarab Farm list as we felt coming into it that Daemons would be one of the worst match-ups for the Scarab Farm, particularly Fatecrusher Daemons. The reason being that Daemons have a very resilient assault army that can drop in to fight the Crons within assault range. The army has the tools to exploit all of the Scarab Farm list’s weaknesses.
Frankie was playing the Scarab Farm for the first time, but is a seasoned player and has watched the army played many time. Will has played his Fatecrusher list almost exclusively for the past year and a half, and as such, we all felt that he had a very large advantage going into the match.
Zandrekh would be a big factor in this game as taking Furious Charge away from Bloodcrushers would prevent them from insta-killing Scarab bases. A lot would depend on who charged who and under what conditions.
