This article outlines using mostly leftover bits to build 40K Necron Scarabs and Wraiths.
Most of the bits we use in these tutorials can be substituted out for other bits fairly easily. Use this as a starting point and your imagination as your guide! That sounded a little funny, but you get the idea!
The bits you need: 2 staffs, 2 Praetorian back pieces, 2 void blades, 2 Praetorians back peices, 2 warscythe bits, all the Praetorian bone pieces, Deathmark head, 40mm base, large flying base stem.
Glue the 2 back pieces together.
Glue the Praetorian bone hood piece on to the back pieces.
Glue the Void blades into the arm sockets.
Glue the curved Praetorian bone pieces into the arm sockets, beneath the void blades.
Trim the hands off of the staves, and glue them into the tail section of the Wraith. If you clip too much off, you can always go back and fix it with green stuff later.
Glue the shortest Praetorian bone piece into the neck section of the Wraith.
Glue the head onto the neck piece. Trim the top and bottom sections off of the flight stand stem, and glue the base and the Wraith body to it. You might want to let the whole thing sit for a while to dry a bit.
Glue the second short Praetorian bone piece onto the tail of the Wraith.
Glue the curved Praetorian bone pieces onto the tail ball joint sections of the Wraith.
Glue the Warscythe blades onto the Wraith arms.
And you're done!
Two Wraiths for the squad of 6 we're working on.
Top shot.
And now for the Scarab!
Start out with the Destroyer body with Guitar wire of varying length put into the Destroyer exhaust vents with Green Stuff to act as the Scarab's legs.
Add a short Praetorian bone piece to the base of the spine of the Destroyer body as a neck for the Scarab.
Use a Lychguard shield as a wing by gluing it into a slightly upright position. The head is a Praetorian back piece.
Glue the second wing on.
You're done!
