Here we see what happens when an unfocused Necron list comes up against a tuned tournament list. In fairness to Dan, this was his first time playing Crons, so that was a huge factor. Also, I had a few lucky night fight roles early game that made a huge difference.
The thing to note there though, IMO, is that you really need to build a solid list with Crons or get pummeled. Like Dark Eldar, they are an army that are very easy to lose with, and very easy to build a bad list with. You must have synergy and a solid plan with Crons to make them work. If you do, they can hold their own, if not, they will get smashed pretty quickly.
Oh, and it is 1500pts, not 1850 as it says in the video.
Your terrain looks awesome!!
Thanks!
Those display cases you have in the back are the same exact ones I have in my shop.
I cannot seem to win a single game with my space wolves. I have long fangs and grey hunters in rhinos but I almost always loose. Especially against Tyranids, Imperial Guard and Grey Knights.
I am looking forward to seeing more cuz I wanna get some crons in place of my SW army.
Cuz Orks are getting boring for me lolz.
Yup, those Ikea display cases are awesome!
Yeah, we’ll be featuring more videos with Wolves to be sure, they are a fun army. Hopefully you can learn a few pointers from our videos and turn around and give your buddies a better game!
I couldn’t agree more with the comment on Necrons needing a plan and well built list. It took me a little while, but I’ve found one that wins convincingly and has a strategy behind how the plan is played out….and damn, wouldn’t you know it- as soon as I switched out HQ or added some of the new options, I went from nearly tabling each opponent game after game to losing matches. My good list is built for significant amounts of Lych Guard and Royal Court assaults (one with Obyron, the other with Nemessor), and the command barge with Anrakyr or Overlord with Warscythe always produces great results. Go flat out every turn and you still get to take 3 swipes at Rear Armor with S7 and 2DC armor penetration. Then, you get your 4Up cover save and can sacrifice a wound if they immobilize you and keep going the next turn. Also, My best lists do not include the Stormlord. He seems to block up my strategy and get my troops killed.
