So the contract is signed and Anime Expo is a go!
Purchase your event ticket here.
Anime Expo is a huge pop culture convention in Los Angeles, California at the Los Angeles Convention Center that runs through 4th of July weekend, the 4th through the 7th. We will be running a Warhammer 40,000 tournament at the con! We’ve done this before at Comikaze, also at the LACC, and they are super fun. Not only will this be a great con in general filled with hot Cos Play girls, movie stars, Anime and Manga artists and writers, etc. but it will also be a great 40K tournament!
This event will be using the BAO tournament format, the details of which you can see here. It will also be using the latest version of the Indy Tournament FAQ, which you can see here.
This is going to be a great event! We are very excited for it. For those of you who have not been to a Con like this before, they are super fun. There are only 32 spots for this event though, so grab those tickets fast!
Important things to know about this event:
- This will be a 5 round event, 3 on Saturday, 2 on Sunday.
- You have to buy a Con badge from Anime Expo’s site in order to get into the con. Those can be purchased here.
- You have to also purchase an event ticket from us on our site linked to above and again here for convenience. 100% of this money goes directly into prize support which will be in addition to prizes from our sponsors!
- The 40K tournament is Saturday and Sunday. You can get your registration badge anytime starting Thursday. You can pick up your badge as early as 8am on Saturday before the event. Doors open for the con at 10am on Saturday.
- I, Reece, will be out front of the con helping to direct traffic and making sure everyone is where they need to be. The picture below is of the front of the Convention center, which is where I will be. Look for me in front of the double doors. The ugly duckling in the second picture is yours truly so you know who to look for.
- The event will start at 10:45am on Saturday.
