Please do not send an army list in a format such as Army Builder, send them in an easy to read, typed format. Thanks!
Co-host Geoff. Yes.
Yes.
Sad that Chapter Approved wasn’t discussed with him. I hope you can somehow get him on for the next episode.
this was made last wednesday. Next episode will discuss CA I’m sure with whoever Pablo does it with!
Again can we please please please move this off the FLG feed? I don’t want to listen to this show but I want to have signals set to auto-download.
Its literally 1 episode a week, takes seconds to delete it… don’t see the big deal.
This. Also I like that I get two podcasts that I’m going to listen to on one feed.
I hope co-host Geoff becomes a regular thing! Great to have more input and always a source of amusement.
What was with ripping on the caliber of players at renegade? It had 6 or 7 of the current ITC top ten players.
Renegade was weird. It didn’t have the middle competitive zone I expect at big tourneys. It was like 12-15 pretty cut throat guys like you said. Then a lot of fluff campaign locals. It was pretty sweet getting those local guys out there, don’t get me wrong. But my first two games I played pure index fluffy armies, then going second against Trent northington, then in pod 3 (of 11) half the pod were a seize dice away from top tables and the other half were straight fluff players supporting the local tournament. I think the pods are great for when the tournament was still 64 people but it can lead to issues with a bunch of people.
I ended up in pod 3 as well, going second in all 3 of my losses hurt bad. But that’s 8th Ed quite often.
I cant answer the why, but I think he was commenting more on their lists and saying they were all very generic, whereas some of the players who he mentioned that were absent are relatively off-meta. I agree it kinda sounded a little weird though.
Right? “Meh, you’re just lucky my friends weren’t there – oh man, any of them would have pounded you guys.”
Solid episode. Geoff is a great co-host. David was a great guest. Some good perennial content here on tournament list design and army list checking.
